Just so you know what I'm working on, I'm hoping to accomplish the following things here. Any help is appreciated, and if there's anything you'd like to take on your own, please post. smile
1. Tutorial and FAQ section -- Hopefully this will be a subforum sometime. I'd like to have tutorials such as "how to be effective at mining" and FAQs such as "how in the world to you make a Villard wheel?" (That question shows up on Rookie Chat all the time!)
2. Tools -- Already started it with the one tool I use.
3. Corporation talk.
4. Trade talk -- trades/deals between guild members.
Any other ideas are welcome!
Oh, and just so you know, please don't donate to the guild. Subforums are cheap and I can afford them easily, and will set them up as the need becomes apparent. Maybe when Gaia introduces new things for guilds to buy, then you can donate if you feel like it.

Might be good idea to make a list of the who's-who. Kind like a list that has the person's Gaia name, then EVE name, then Corp maybe??
ex:
Mishalla - Mishalla Senatori - Galaxy Angel Brigade
Mishalla - Hikaru Angelus - Galaxy Angel Brigade
Mishalla - Dark Goddess - M34t p0p
Strya - Killiakti - ???

Changed it a bit sweatdrop Probally better to do it in Gaia names in ABC order. I could keeps up with a list if want to do this too 3nodding

That would be great! Please do make a list like that and I'll keep it stickied. You can add my corp name -- Riemannian Metrics. I'm not a member yet, but will be sometime in the next week. It's my real-life friends' guild, but they don't have enough relations skill to accept my Caldari character yet. mrgreen

It occurs to me that talk about the guild itself *should* be in the Break Room, but oh well... I'll move it there eventually.
Quick question though, if anyone has opinions. Should this guild tbe Hidden (only members can post and read), or Private (anyone can read, but only members can post)? I have it Private at the moment, so that interested people can at least look in and see what's up, and later we can change it to Hidden.
And sometime this weekend, I'll try my hand at making a banner.

I think that you should keep the guild as private so that people can read if they arnt a member but cant post until they are one. Ive seen it happen to other guilds that ive been part of where they set it to public, people just come in and start spamming the boards saying how rubbish (i was gonna use a ruder word then but decided against it) the particular topic was and pretty much destroyed the guild because the managers of the guild didnt have the time to sift through all the messages filtering it out. So its just my opinion but keep it on private for the time being.

I created a chat channel in Eve called "Beyond the Gate" to communicate and chat in-game.
To join a channel, click on the "Channels & Mailing Lists" button on the left pannel and then make sure you are on the "Channels" tab. Then click "Create / Join" and enter "Beyond the Gate" and press Okay. If you ever lose the window, you can now go to your channels tab and Beyond the Gate should be listed under Player Channels for quick access.

if you want a missioning guide put up, feel free to ask, i mission daily on level 4's, and wouldnt mind making a guide up. Also, anyone wanting to armour tank a brutix, enyo or dominix, please feel free to ask smile

Missioning guide -- that would be cool. I'm doing level 1 missions, and I have a list of them and how easy/hard they are (basically to be able to tell if I can do them alone or if my husband needs to come along). I'll try to flesh that out here, too. I will make a subforum for tutorials/guides/faqs.

Main banner is made, but if people are willing to put adverstising banners in their signatures, those need to be made, too. I'm willing to make them, but with my limited experience with the game, I don't have many screenshots to work with (and they'll all have my cute little destroyer in them). If anyone wants to submit screenshots for me to work with, let me know.
Or, of course, if anyone wants to make banners, that would be great!
Also, if you have any ideas for subforums, let me know. Would people want an RP subforum? I'm not personally interested in RPing, but if people want to do it (at least 3 people), I'd create a subforum for it.

Can we get a sub forum for trade, sales and stuff. I know you were getting into industry and I'm sure others produce things. Might be nice to sell these things here, even miners can sell their minerals and ratters and mission runners can sell their faction items or named items or whatever. razz I'm sure you didn't need that much of an explanation >_<

At the moment, since we have few members and most are already in corporations, I would say go ahead and post your corporation recruitment in the main forum (it would be nice if you put the word "Recruitment" or "Recruiting" in the title). If we find that there are lots of these posts, then I will make a sub-forum and move them all there. I'll add this to the guild rules.
(At this point, if enough people say, "I'd make a recruitment post for my corp if there was a sub-forum for it," I'll do it. I just need to see that there's a need.)
As far as pirate dealings go, I really don't know what this means. Can you explain so that I have more information and can decide if this needs a separate sub-forum? Thanks!
