a_roar_in_the_dark Roar covered her ears and shouted over to Kappy. "Can you go help him Kappy? He's making way to much of racket. I don't care what you do just get over there!." Kappy paddled to the shallow and and climbed out of the water. She walked over the kiddie pool and stepped in. She grabbed Lion by the scruff of his neck and pulled him out of the the only inches deep water. Exasperated she tried to explain to him how. It was too shallow for her to even try.
She let go of him and hopped out of the water to watch. "Tri. I think Kappy can teach him from here. Don't you wanna get in the water? I know your hot under all that. It's almost August and your in a vest. Now I know you love those swords but don't you want to come swim with me? Just to cool off?" "I'm fine", Tri-Blade replied, "It's really not that hot out here. It's actually a bit nice" Lionheart looked over to Kappy for assurance, and then started hitting the water. For some reason, that attempt didn't work. The then tried to think of what Kappy was doing, and began to pull with his paws. He suddenly found himself moving, and in joy, jifted his backfeet up and pushed. Lionheart suddenly found himself paddling above the bottom. He began yipping like he was on top of the world.

She makes a rather disgusted grunt then then lays down near the edge to watch.
"Alright. Whatever you want." She floats on her back for bit, just enjoying th water. Still floating and with her eyes closed she asks. "Am I allowed to ask about your life, family and friends or will I not get any information?"

"It depends on what you ask", Tri-Blade replied, crossing his arms and leaning against a lamp post, "There are answers to some of the questions"

"Mr. Mysterious huh." She floats around the pool some more then yells. "Kappy. Your not enjoying this are you honey. And your the one with all the unused energy here." She swims to the edge close to were Tri is leaning and says. "There's a beach park around here right?" Not waiting for an answer she bobs to the stairs and gets out. Shaking most of the excess water off she heads back to her clothes, grabbing a towel from the rack on the way over. She towels the rest of the water off, dries her tail and ears them puts her clothes back on. She picks up the half forgotten leash and collar. "Kappy let's go." She walks towards the exit with her poof then she turns to Tri and asks. "Are you coming?"
((I can post again! *hugs Tri*))

Kappy practically bounced along the roar toward the beach. Without a leash to slow her down she attacked pretty much everything with vigor. Sniffing, growling, barking, jumping, even chasing a Kiki up a tree. She was having too much fun for her own good.
"I am reminded why I've kept you in a house and only let you free when were near the forest. Your a terror of shear curiosity." Ignoring her rampaging pet she stopped briefly to pay for popcorn from a traveling vendor. She turned to the trailing Merc and was about to say something when she smirked. He looked so comical. Carrying the wet pooflet under one arm. "I wish I had a camera right now. That is adorable." She walked to his side half giggling and fianlly said. "So tell me something about yourself." They were nearing the large expanse of Gambino beach front.
((Guilds, PMs and some threads died yesterday for several hours. I couldn't post in her to save my life. I was so pissed!
That would be what I meant. Now would you stop patting me!))

The little kit's eyes were wide as he gazed upon the towering building of Gambino island. It was so different from the Black Forest. He was suprised they existed in the same world

"Everything your willing to tell me. I don't want to ask a question and hit a road block. But maybe something easy to start with. How and why did you decide to become a mercenary? Oh and feel free to ask whatever you wish of me." She chewed on her popcorn waiting for him to speak.
The brown Koivu youth was currently snuffling at a young mans shoe, he looked extremely annoyed by this. Crazy creature.

"I am 6'2, 195 Lbs. I collect swords, and enjoy boxing. The reason I am a mercenery is not simply for the money, though. I seek a purpose in life...and so far, the only purpose I have found is bloodshed. I am hired by the elite of the world, though. It i through them that I expierience new niches. Perhaps someday I shall find what I am looking for", Tri-Blade replied to Roar in an almost poetic voice as he carried his drying kit.

"A nice compliment to my 5'8 then." She chewed more popcorn as she thought about how best to tell him about herself. His answer to her question had not been all that shocking. He carried around razor sharp swords. Hello! Clue number one! But the purpose thing. He didn't think he had a purpose. That worried her. But none the less. She liked him all the same. "I sell handmade jewelry for a living believe it or not. That and I'm an adept marketplace trader. I'd be such a broke gaian if I didn't. I'm a cat girl, in case the tail was confusing you." She raised it up and stroked it breifly. "I live a rather solitary life. Just me and my many pets. Sometimes gold is tight but we manage. But I like my life all the same. The animals provide all the excitement I need. Just look at Kappy over there. How could life be boring with her around?" She'd climbed her way on top of a Rock in a nearby park and was barking happily. "Anything else you want to know? Oh and would you like some?" She waved the popcorn bag under his nose.

"I'm good, thanks", Tri-Blade replied, dropping Lionheart down so that he could run around with Kappy. The kit scampered away, running around Kappy's rock, "How many pets do you have, Roar?", he asked, a bit curious, "And exactly how does a cat-girl come to be, if you don't mind me asking"

She laughed, both at his comment and Lion. "It happens. We grow ears and a tail and we deal. My mother damn near died when I came out this way. You ask 'Rea if she remembers ever not having her ears and tail. Foxes and cats go along the same lines. Some would also say that were minor demons and these are my marks. I don't really mind or care either way. It's not like I stand out here in Gaia. As for your pets question. As of right now I have 33 and a fish tank full of fish. I've found my place with my animals. I don't plan to stop any time soon." She turned her attention to her Koivu. "Kappy! Stop rolling in the grass. The beach is just a little ways down the road. You can run in the sand." With that Roar began to run down the street and Kappy ran after her.

That's enormous", Tti-Blade replied, "How do you manage to take care of them all?"

She'd heard him but chose to ignore him until they reached the beach. When they did she raced onto the sand with Kappy, shed her socks and shoes and ran knee deep into the surf. Kappy snapped happily at the waves as they hit the beach. Roar yelled over the surf to answer his question. "Several of them aren't even old enough or alive enough to move around. A few no longer live with me." She splashed salt water at her poof. "It's not very hard to turn a heating light on is it? That and many shops offer daycare or a place for your pet to live among their kind and be cared for. In those cases I visit their home. Fewer actually live with me than you might first think. Or they have lived with and have chosen to be elsewhere. But they still recognize me as their guardian. Consulting me when they want a decision made. My answer could get more complicated but I don't' think you wan to hear it." Kappy had lost interest in the waves and was now pawing at the sand. She'd found a small crap and was attempting to play with it. Roar walked out of the surf, picked up her socks and shoes the sat carefully on the beach, setting the footwear at her side. She patted the sand beside her as an invitation to to him then watched as Kappy's irritated crab attempted escape.

(Hmm...I wonder if I should make my re-entrance into the main thread)
Lionheart tested out his newfound ability, and began swimming in the shallow waters of the beach.
"So many different creatures so you as their mother", Tri-Blade replied to Roar, "In that light, it is a noble way to live, caring for others untill they are full-grown. Perhaps you have a subconscious will to be a parent"
