"Any way to draw her out?" The one apparently called Dave asked.

"There's only one, but the captain wanted her back so that the could rewire her, what would happen could melt the whole system. She also has to be in range." The gruff voiced man said.

Curiosity nearly got the better of her. So they did have something to stop her, this would make the whole thing much more interesting. More time to draw out the fun in all this.

"Well, the wounds look fresh enough," He started again, "Maybe she's near by. Get the thing out of my bag, Dave."

Good luck finding that out. She thought. She watched as Dave went behind the other man, but he also when behind the leaves, so she could see what he was doing. Something clicked, then started to whir. Her foot slipped off the branch.

"Did you hear that?" Dave said, "It came from up there!"

Aura started to mentally curse, they'd found her, and soon she'd realize what the thing was. She slipped off the branch some more, and now she could see the 'thing.' It was a giant electromagnet. It was on a low setting, and she began to curse some more for not getting away when she had the chance.

Suddenly, under the pressure of being strongly pulled, even though the magnet was on a low setting, the branch cracked, and broke off. It came down with her. The magnet attached to her left arm, something that she felt for the first time in her life shocked her whole system. She didn't have much to go on, but it felt like pain. The branch that came down with her crashed on the two remaining military officers, killing them quite instantaneously. It also broke the magnet, but a little too late. Her whole system had been shocked, leaving her abilities with a fairly large handicap.

(Holy ducks! I typed a lot again! Might have been hanging around my English class a little too long...)

Aura's left arm was twitching and sending out sparks every so often. If the officers hadn't been pooling blood right now, she'd have torn their bodies to shreds already. Something told her that she wouldn't have such a lucky break to get away from any pursuers now. Her system had been fried, but she still had the ability to use it. She still had her mind, her will, most everything was fine, just her combat and strategy skills had been lowered by more than half.

Aura sighed, more than likely, they had been carrying their time warp machine with them, so they could make a quick get away if they had caught her.

"So now I'm stuck here," She said angrily, kicking the fallen branch.
