...that's it....hydrocloric acid with patassium oxcide... ^_^ i think that's table salt... not sure...been a few years since i took chem.

that's interesting... razz never would have thought of natural salt.

Yep, comes from the sea and also ancient dried up sea beds. I think to make table salt they take all the good nutrients & stuff out & refine the begeezed out of it until you're just left with the sodium chloride, then they add iodine to make it come out of the box with out getting stuck ( sea salt is still kind of damp,) but adding a few grains of uncooked rice to the shaker helps absorb the exess moisture. if you want to use the actual coarse sea salt chunks like we do you need to buy a salt grinder ( don't add rice !)

I think my husband was raving about how great sea salt is. I'll have to get some. Not that I'm all that big on salt. My husband and I are more into garlic than salt.

Sea salt is great in my books. If you are into garlic though, that's even better. it is sooooo good for you in so many ways ! That's awesome.

table salt is hydrochloric acid mixed with potassium Iodide. Yhe iodine is actually added because ithepls prevent a thyroid condition called goiter. *a swelling of the neck

it is then further refined to remover the other chemicles left over after the process
and distilled. The sodium iodide more water soluable then the posassium chloride. You know what... I remember Waaay toomuch grade 12 chemistry!

Sea salt = better

Table salt has it's place in moderation for most. If you have low Blood pressure just make sure you get enough of one or the other.

haha, I used to like garlic salt a lot too but since Patrick started using pure garlic oil and garlic cloves for cooking the garlic salt doesn't taste nearly as good and fullsome. Serious, you should try using a bunch of garlic cloves. Like chop them up really fine and add some in when you're making garlic potatoes. You can still use a little garlic salt and powder but seriously, the cloves kick a**. domokun
