Ooh...so many stores I haven't heard of...but, yeah! xD

Suncoast - I buy most of my manga and anime there. They don't have a uber-huge wide selection of Manga, but it's fun using my replay card and getting discounts...for DVDs... xD;;

Best Buy - I buy anime here if Suncoast doesn't have it...They don't have RARE anime (well, duh...it's RARE... xD;; ), but I usually go here if Suncoast is too expensive (which is usually the case...) or if Suncoast doesn't have it...period! =B

Comic Quest (Lake Forest! Whoot) - I buy manga here if I can't get to Suncoast! Whoo! I don't really go here anymore, even though it's walking distance (I'm so lazy), but it's kinda like my back-up manga store! Yeah, backups!

Annd...online! Amazon.com...

Oh, I also downloaded Anime from animesuki until the liscensed it and took it off. ;-; ...xD

I don't buy anime/anime merchandise, but I've seen a lot at Suncoast. Other than that, my brother gets some wall-scrolls from and other stuff from his friend that lives/goes to school in Japan. He sends posters/wall-scrolls or brings stuff back here. Pretty neat. xp

Frank & Sons is the best place ever. i've never been there myself but my brother goes there often with his friends. he comes back with the best stuff. i always give him money to get stuff for me from there. 3nodding

well, i usually go to Little Tokyo in LA.
Anime Jungle - this place has the best anime merchandise. and the store owners told me that they actually go to Japan to get their stuff. and they have a huge collection of dvds too.
Kinokuniya Bookstore - i usually go here to buy my manga and other anime books. and i also go there to get artist supplies. and they have really nice Prince Of Tennis merchandise.
and there's this other anime store, i forgot what it was called. but it's near to Anime Jungle. anyways, they have dvds there that they sell for really cheap. like they have the whole series of .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, both subbed and dubbed, for only $21. and i bought the whole series of Chobits, both subbed and dubbed, from them for only $40. and they have lots of J-Pop and J-Rock cds, Japanese video games, and anime t-shirts and school uniforms.

I think I know of the place your talking about. Its the used manga store isnt it? its like on the outside of the building where the Anime Jungle is right?

Wow, you guys are lucky. There's only 1 anime shop in my whole county! Anime Express(animeexpress.com). Manga for $9, a few box sets, mostly anime movies, not episodes. A few videogames, some how to draw manga books, and a wall of Hello Kitty. xp Not the place to go if you're looking for a new manga, but they'll order anything they don't have. They also do a rental service, I think 2 days. And I'm pretty sure that's hentai behind the counter...Just a few blocks away, though, Borders has a fair amount of manga, and every volume of most series. So yeah, that's about it for San Luis Obispo....Downtown, for all you Gundam fans, Tom's Toys has a bunch of model kits. Oh, and if you've ever heard of a little game called Oddworld, their HQ is in dowtown SLO too.

Oh yeah! The Borders near me has a lot of manga and are now getting anime merchandise too! It's weird but cool. I used to only see those fleece character/cosplay hats at AX but now they're in my local stores. confused I just wish people would wear them to the store and stuff!

Mroh...that Frank and Sons sounds fab-u-riffic...I'll have to go check it out whenever I go up near it...xD

I mainly go to...
Alakazam: This comic book store that sells a lot of anime/manga at very nice prices. Got the whole NGE boxset for about 29$...it's from Japan itself though..they get most of their stuff there. I've bought a few other cheap box-sets from them too. Also, if there is something special you're looking for if you ask the guy he'll talk to the person he buys it from and can try and get it for you. The owner is a really nice guy.
Tokyo Sun Rising: It's something like that, it's this store in San Deigo and it's all anime and everything is basicly from Japan except their large as hell wall of manga. I love that store, and again the lady who works their the most is very nice, and funny. biggrin
Westminster Mall: This mall...in Westminster, has a kick a** anime store. Not much is known about it still only have been once.
China Town/Little Tokyo: They both have anime/manga stuff. Both places are great. I may be buying bootlegs but they're cheap as hell which can be nice.
D/L: Can I just say.....<3
Borders: Only manga every so often.

Only so often? The one next to my house has more manga than the anime shop does. They even carry untranslated stuff too! Now, they're starting to even carry anime dvds and wallscrolls.

Maybe cause their's a larger Asian community out here.

I've been to the Alakazam comic store in Irvine a couple times. It's really cool but really tiny. The employees were really cool as well. 3nodding

That store in westminster mall is probably the one I mentioned. My friend claims it's called "Small Wonders" but I have no idea and it doesn't show up on the mall's website directory. I've been there a few times and it rocks! xd

yea.. i'm guessing it was an import but the subs were perfect and there were peretty good dubs as well... although it did not come in such a flashy case... xD ... it was three discs and yeah...

I mostly buy the miyazaki movies at best buy...

and i download anime too... www.animesuki.com but my computer has been really slow at it lately.. xDD it won't let me download any more of bleach.. xD

animesuki starting to suck because they stop putting up anime when they get licenced in the U.S. I prefer to go to www.anime-source.com
