This time, Koitsu thought he would give himself the ultimate test. Aiming at the ground this time, Koitsu used everything he could to freeze the ground. Watching as it hit almost right under him, A patch at least twenty feet wide spread from his shots, and continued to grow still. Trying to watch and stay of the patch at the same time, Koitsu continually slipped as it finally stopped. Checking the size, Koitsu guessed the patch to be atleast 50 feet from the center. Wondering how low it went, he walked over to part of it, stomping on it as hard as possible. Soon the entire thing shattered, making him fall and slide down into a hole twice as deep as it was wide. "Well, heh, I may be stuck right now, but atleast I have this jutsu finished... but... but .... but how am I going to get out now...?"

Kiji walked into the training grounds in the morning, carrying a backpack. It was filled with all the necessary things for a training session - weapons, some towels, a first-aid kit, as well as some food and bottles of water that should keep up her energy until late afternoon. She was munching on some crackers for her breakfast, ruminating on her plans for the day. Kiji was going to train until around 4:00pm, followed up by a trip to the hot springs and then it was on to the Mizukage's office to do some paperwork. She wondered if Pain had someone to temporarily replace him or if she was going to be working alone.
Reaching a tree in the middle of the grounds, close to the lake that was used for practicing suiton, she put her backpack down near the roots. She opened in, took out a bottle of water, and took a long swig. Putting it back, Kiji sat down to do some stretching.

Kiji decided to work on some snow jutsu first. Her first step was to make a blanket of snow cover about six inches of everything in a 50-foot radius around her. Then, she made a shadow clone to act as her opponent.
(Frost Wolf Trap 1)
Kiji focused her chakra, making a shape rise up out of the snow. She focused on making into a wolf's head, but the snow merely turned into a rough rectangular shape before refusing to do anything more.

Kiji stamped out her first attempt, and tried again. This time she was able to get a wolf's head shape, and possibly even shoulders. However, it didn't move.

Kiji liked the way her second attempt looked, so she left it alone and moved to a different area to try again. Focusing her chakra, she decided to form the wolf head closer to her "opponent" to make the jutsu more effective. The wolf was able to leap out of the snow a few inches but fell into a pile of mush.

'That was decent,' Kiji thought as she molded some more chakra. Focusing it, she formed the snow into a wolf's head again, and concentrated on making it launch out of the snow. It was able to hit her "opponent," but instead of biting the shadow clone, it looked more like a huge snowball had hit her.

After seeing that she was able to at least make the wolf jump out of the snow, Kiji thought which body part of the clone she should make the jutsu bite. She settled on thigh.
Focusing her chakra, she made another wolf's head, more deadlier than the last few. It's teeth were made of almost solid ice - this one was intended to strike. She made it jump out of the snow, concentrating on opening and closing of the jaw.
The icy teeth closed down on the shadow clone's thigh, making it disappear with a poof!. The wolf's head itself degraded into a simple mound of snow, falling upon the white surface of the ground.

Kiji set to work on another jutsu and made another shadow clone to use it on. This time, she focused on making the snow into a humanoid shape. She had just finished it when the snow "sculpture" trembled and its torso fell off.

Kiji kicked apart her first attempt and set to work on it again. This time, she was able to form a human shape without it crumbling, but it wouldn't do anything else.

Kiji tried again, ignoring her second attempt. She got a shape going and was actually able to make it run a little bit, but not able to reach the shadow clone.

Kiji made another snowman, and was able to cause it to spar a little with the shadow clone. After about a minute, however, the shadow clone had completely pulverized the snowman.

Kiji made another snowman, which was able to get in a long sparring battle with her shadow clone. After a few minutes, when the snowman looked like it would decompose, Kiji quickly made another one. She put energy into concentrating on making the snowmen move. The shadow clone was soon overpowered, and disappeared with a puff of smoke.

Kiji used the snow around her and tried forming it into ice. She got a flat surface on the ground but nothing more.

Kiji tried again, this time trying to make the ice out of the cold, moist air. She decided to do this since she wouldn't be able to form ice out of snow in every environment. She was able to get a thin layer of frost floating in the air, half her height.

(Ice Mirror 3)
Kiji made a mirror that was about her height, but it had the thickness of a dinner plate. Perhaps it was still worth something, though. She tried a Water Shark Missile on it, but it shattered into pieces.
