Cross heard her but decided to ignore her. He walked from the tree deeper into the woods pretty damn sure she would follow no matter what. He could just "blink" his way outta here and she would have no idea where he went. He couldnt' do that though, it would be to mean....WAIT! What the hell is he thinking of course he could do that. Who gives a damn if he's mean, he's supposed to be.

"Wait! Cross!" Ember yelled, pushing herself up and scrambling toward the direction of where the sound of grass being crushed came from. She stumbled over a few tree roots in her rush. She saw his form just up ahead, casually walking away from her. It reminded her of a stubborn a*****e - her eyes started to water - who'd ignored her for the beginning of her journey.
"Stupid fascist toad!" she yelled, racing toward him. To her it seemed that both of the brothers would walk so gracefully, their strides long and quick, though Aero seemed to be more of the lazy side and lagged behind like a sloth. "Slow down!"
She managed to reach him, but she tripped over a thick tree root, crashing into his back since, like Aero, he was taller than her. Ember slammed into his back, expecting both of them to be knocked to the ground.
Hitting Cross was something like hitting a very, VERY hard wall. She thought her face had been smashed in and her lips cut. Her head had been sharply turned to the side, feeling like someone had snapped her neck.
She slid off him pitifully with painful groan.

Cross evilly grinned at the thought of her hitting his body, after all he was part vampire which meant his skin felt like pure stone; as cold as it too. But that fact that she fell and hit it...damn that must've hurt.
"Be careful." He cackled and kept on walking, knowing she had to be in great pain

Ember pushed herself up to sitting. She was holding her nose carefully.
"Ow! I think I broke it," she growled, sounding nasally as she cradled it. The simple warning of to be careful was all she got? Though, Aero didn't even bother to say anything at all. "Cross! You fascist moron!"
Ember gathered herself up and ran after him. She circled around him so that she was in front of him. He probably wasn't going to stop. It reminded her of a raging bull or something. She stuck her hands out.
"Just wait a minute!" Ember growled, her light feathery fingers touching his chest. She pushed as hard as she could. Cross didn't even seem to budge. All she did was push herself back. She stumbled, skidding across the ground before she hit the ground on her backside, the air rushing out of her lungs abruptly.

Cross was just about to blink away when those thoughts of being nice came out of nowhere and invaded his mind. It's like that angel and devil over your shoulder thing. So instead of chosing one side he chose both and dragged her till she woke up again. That way he got the pleasure of her pain, and the annoying good-thoughts would stop bugging him.

After a few minutes, Ember was rudely awaken by her head hitting a rather hard tree root. She grabbed the back of it, rubbing it soothingly. "Ow..." she grumbled, her vision focusing. She breathed calmly for a few seconds, making sure her lungs were working.
Her head hit another tree root and she growled, trying to sit up. Dirt was rubbing against her back like a rug burn and she didn't know why. She looked down toward Cross to see one of her legs clutched in one of his hands. "Hey!" she yelled, wiggling her leg. "Let go! I said, let go! At least, bring me along some other way, not drag me! Even if I didn't like it, Aero threw me on his shoulder, at least!"

"Ok then fine I'll carry you on my shoulder." He smirked because he knew what was gonna happen. Cross took her ankle and picked her up throwing Ember into his stone back. Then the good part was about to come...since being part vampire his body is dead and lifeless which means its as cold as a freezer.

Ember wasn't expecting him to actually comply with it. So when he threw her on his shoulder, her forehead swung around and hit his back while his shoulder jutted and smashed into her ribs.
"Ow!" she growled, grabbing his hair to pull on it and regain her balance. The huge collar area of his armor left his shoulder, collar bone, and throat unprotected, so it was skin on skin contact when her stomach settled down. She nearly flinched. "Sheesh, you're cold."
Ember rubbed her stomach against his shoulder, trying to create a little friction. She wasn't sure her natural inner fire could heat it on its own.
"Where are you taking me, anyway?"

"Just shut up and take it. I always hear you say to be treated like everyone else...tch...women" Cross complained, thinking about all the times he spied on Aero and Ember when they were on their journey.

"AHH GODDAMMIT!!" He yelled dropping Ember on the ground with a thud. Being flicked in a vampires weak spot isn't exactly the greatest feeling. "WHAT THE s**t WAS THAT FOR??" Cross glared at her ruthlessly almost wanting to punch her face in, but then he remembered that he's supposed to bring her back unharmed.

Ember hit the ground with a surprised gasp, feeling a rock slice her arm. She looked at it. It was only a small cut, but a drop of blood oozed out. Seeing that it wasn't life-threatening, she glanced up at Cross with a confused expression.
"Huh?"

His body froze as he heard the single drop of blood fall. His mouth tightened with thirst, his eyes became hungry and dark. Cross had every intention of drinking Ember dry right then and there.
'Bu-...but..I can't...I...I mustn't, she needs to be alive' Cross thought to himself. He clenched his fist together fighting every single urge in his body to not suck that cut on her arm. He stared with great intensity not being able to take his gaze of the wound.

"Um..." Ember cleared her throat, trying to catch his attention and divert the unnerving stare from the cut. There was something about his eyes that although it should've made her fear him, it didn't. But she was a bit cautious just in case. This wasn't Aero. Cross would hurt her if she pushed him far enough. But she offered him a smile, hoping it would appease him.
