Urd combed Katie's hair with a normal hairbrush and braided it for her. When it was done, she cut off three hairs and made it into a necklace on which she hung an amulet and dropped it down a well.
Then a bright light flew from the well and split into three. Urd did not know why this happened. It was just a thing.

Urd drew a large mandala upon the floor and pushed Crane into the middle of it. She then called into the spirit realm, "Leanansidhe, an it please thee, come hither to hold discourse with me!"
There was a deafening bang and Crane turned into a cloud of butterflies.

Katie's eyes grew large with fear, when she saw the spiders. she started to back away, then turn and ran away as fast as she could.

Urd, with supreme calmness and serenity, shrieked like a demonic psycho and hurled a volley of Urd Bolts at them. There was a loud boom, and bits of spider legs and things flew everywhere.

Katie turned to look at what happened to the spiders, as a piece of a leg smacked her in the ace. She sreamed loudly.
