Ooooh I like the Elizabeth Bathory the most. Brutal and theres something almost vampiric about it. I think us vampire people have got to love her just because of the blood link biggrin

Hey you know I just looked up this Elizabeth Bathory woman and apperently the bloodbath bit is a myth. I got this from wiki.
The descriptions of torture that emerged during the trials were often based on hearsay. The atrocities described most consistently included:
severe beatings over extended periods of time, often leading to death, burning or mutilation of hands, sometimes also of faces and genitalia, biting the flesh off the faces, arms and other bodily parts freezing to death starving of victims. Biting and the use of needles was also mentioned by the collaborators in court.
The emergence of the bloodbath myth coincided with the vampire scares that haunted Europe in the early 18th century, reaching even into educated and scientific circles. The strong connection between the bloodbath myth and vampire myth was not made until the 1970s.

i am afraid i will have to change my answer... if i can do that. i will say either Roy Demeo... or Richard Kuklinski... both eerily good at what they did and both with more then 200+ confirmed kills. also very interesting how the people close to them view them so much differently then the authorities did...

Although I chose ed gain I think elizabeth bathory was the best. she killed around 300, possibly around a thousend unreported, little girls. she bathed in their blood because she thought that it would give her a more youthfull appearance.

If I have to pick from them, I'll say Ed Gein. The way he killed was awesome, but hes my 2nd fav.
My fav. is not on the list and he was Jack the Ripper!! He stared his killing in 1888 and I was born 1988. I think that's awesome!!

ashleynmckay Jack the Ripper was the most famous serial killer of all time. Brutally murdering prostitutes in London's notorious Whitechapel district, he caused a panic in 1888.
He is the most famous for a couple of different reasons, the most prominent is he was the first recorded sex murderer. Before Jack the Ripper there were no reported cases, even though there were many I am sure, because the lack of acceptance of sex.
I would have to say Dr.Hazard. She had a special diet that would "cure" any illness. When her patience died of starvation from the water and broth diet she would do the autopsies in her tub. She would make up what the person died of just so she could keep her reputation. When she became ill she took on the diet as well. She died of starvation as well.

Ataraxia knows of Elizabeth because of me, so it's quite easy for me to agree with him on this one!
