I agree a little bit with the english voice casting. I mean, it's tolerable, and I wouldn't b***h about it like some people do, but I have to admit that the guy trying to give L a hint of a British accent just doesn't work for me. Frankly, unless one actually has a real accent (ie. Illich Guardiola), or can actually pull one off convincingly, then I'd just stick to having a straight normal voice.

Oh man! Don't even get me started on that one! I never watched Negima, but my friend showed me the first episode in Japanese, then in English. I almost cried over Greg Ayres' pittiful attempt at being British.
Another really bad example of this is Satella Harvenheit from Chrono Crusade in English. Oh my gosh! She's supposed to be German, thus having a German accent. But in the episodes that I've seen her in (when i've dared to watch it in English) it seems that Tiffany Grant can't decide what German sounds like. Sometimes it sounds alright, but other times it sounds like a mix between Italian and French-- *garls teeth *That just bothers me!! And it really sucks, because I love watching Chrono Crusade in English-- except for when Satella shows up.

I'm really new to Death note... So far I have only been watching the anime, and I find that I am enjoying it. This was surprising to me because I actually really hate the manga. I just don't like it's style and find that no matter how hard I try I can't get into it. The anime is different though, for reasons I don't get myself. Perhaps it's because I haven't heard the Japanese version yet but... I'm very pleased with the English cast... and L's voice is actually one of my favourites ^^; Right behind Light's, I love Brad Swaile. I find L's voice to just have a nice tone to it, it sounds intelligent... I dunno, I actually never really noticed that he was trying to add a touch of an English accent. Perhaps I haven't trained my ear enough...

Light's voice should be slightly deeper!

I was sold when I watched the first episode of Death Note. I never watched the last episode, beacuse I didn't want it to end. And I think i'll keep it that way, I've watched it two times to the second last episode, and I'll watch it many times more. It's the best Anime I've seen.

Ive finished the manga, and from what I've seen so far, it follows it pretty closely. I didn't like the ending of it though...but thats just me.
Light is my favourite, I love his laugh. Its wonderful.
