Okasa (pronounced O-ká-sa)- mother (in general)
Outoto (pronounced Oh-to-to)- little brother (in general)
Imoto (pronounced E-mo-to)- Little sister (in general)
Onii-kun (pronounced Oh-kneé kun)- Big brother (in general)
Onee-chan (pronounced Oh-nay chan)- Big sister (in general)
Oni (pronounced O-knee Notice the difference of an accent)- demon (I think this one is funny because big brother is Onii-kun and demon is Oni and they sound basically the same so whenever I hear it I think, "My brothers are demons." >.<)
Aka- baby
Ame-rain
Mizu- Water
I know more but I can't think of them right now.

But yeah you're right, it is more commonly used as "akuma." (oh by the way that anime was Inuyasha) And I have one more word to add >.< Kiju (sp? and pronounced K eye-juu)- monster And I think it's funny because my brothers aren't demons (most of the time) except for one but we'll leave that for later >.<
