Gaia Name: Beppo Character Name: Farael Age: 23 Race: Hwesta Personality: Farael is a strong female one who is not afraid of much and yet does not rush into things either. She is normally very quiet and only talks to others out of respect and politeness. Due to her birth she has a soft voice and her speed allows her to move in and out of places easily and without detection, allowing Farael to be more of an observer than one to take part in festivities and what not.
However, due to her childhood Farael has difficulty trusting people which is mostly why she tends to stay away from others in general. Also due to her childhood Farael has more knowledge then any Hwesta that she has come into contact with, making her more out of place. Farael has traveled the land and prefers to remain by herself, yet she will more often than not help out someone in need, though she never stays around long enough after the fact if she can help it.
History: Farael was born in the Hwesta cloud city of Vilya to her parents, whom only five years after her birth decided to leave their home and travel. It wasn't until they were half way to their destination that Farael was told that her parents had decided to join the Sindarin, that they were meant to rule the others. Despite Farael's pleas, she was dragged along, and it was only until one night when they were a mere week away that Farael was able to escape.
Due to her swiftness she was able to cross many leagues before dawn, and though she was young her fear of the dark elves caused her to run until nightfall the next day. Unaware of where she was headed it was a miracle that she ended up in the thick woods of Arda. Here she was able to drink water from a nearby stream and eat some of the fruits that she could find growing on the bushes and the trees.
Though she was away from the danger of her parents, she was alone and confused in a place that was entirely different from her own home. She was cautious with each step and always kept an ear out for danger wherever it may be, causing quite a strain to the young girl mentally. She no longer knew what she was suppose to do, how she was going to get home, whether or not she could trust anybody ever again. Her parents had betrayed her, her parents whom she had loved with all her heart weren't even going to give her the choice.
One night, upon finding a clearing, Farael sat upon a log and began to cry and sing a lullaby that her grandmother had taught her and sung to her to get her to sleep. Though she was not very good at singing her soft voice was soothing to her own ears, and eventually the forest around her seemed to grow silent as though it was listening to her sad song.
When she stopped singing and looked up she was surprised to find a young dragon sitting next to her on the log. Though she couldn't speak to it, she was able to determine by its eyes that it somehow understood her pain and sorrow. It was here that Farael met her life long friend, and it was her dragon who helped her to the village of the Kayen where she was accepted as an orphan and taught in the ways of the forest people.
Arda soon became her home and she spent many of her days learning about the history of the land and other information written in the ancient texts that the Kayen held. The best gift that was ever given to her however was that Farael was taught how to talk to her dragon, a skill of talking to animals belonged solely to the Kayen, and thus she was taught only how to speak to dragons, and by learning the skill also allowed her to consider the forest of Arda and it's people her home and family.
By finally honing her new skill she was able to learn that her dragon's name was Isi and that it was a smaller species of Dragon, one that would not get much bigger than it already was, though that mattered little to Farael.
Unfortunately, for all the time spent in Arda, Farael still felt like an outsider, as she looked nothing like the elves of the forest, and as she was born in a different land, was not allowed to learn everything that the others were. So on the day of her birth, her 18th year, the month of Luinil, Farael set out to return to her home in the skies.
It was a long journey, and she met many people on her path, yet she kept company with no one except Isi until at last she reached her native land of Vilya. Here she was greeted with warmth by her grandparents, and yet with cold looks from the rest of her kin. They saw her and her family as traitors, and for the next three years it took a lot for Farael to gain back her own reputation, though she was always seen as an outcast.
Thus, on the day of her 21st year of birth, Farael set out once more, to discover the rest of the land, hoping that somewhere she might find a place she can call home.
Weapons: A bow that was made in the forests of Arda. It is mainly comprised of the bark from the trees, yet it is adorned with leaves and flowers. Her quiver, a gift from her grandparents, an old family treasure, which is white with blue designs along it, rests on her back.
Appearance: With golden hair and blue eyes. Farael
Dragon: Can be found sitting upon Farael's left shoulder or scounting ahead for her. Isi

Elemental Profiles: - gaia_left -Gaia Name: AtavisticDevilry - gaia_left -Name: Sarai al'Taim, often called Sari and called Rai by those closest to her. It's a name others have to earn the right to. - gaia_left -Month: Elemmiire - gaia_left -Secret Power: Sari has a mild aura of joy that surrounds her on a normal basis, but this aura can be intensified so as to cause extreme joy in those around her. She can also fascinate people, throwing them into a rapture over her. It basically causes people to focus on her as though she were the most amazing, fascinating thing on the planet, forcing them to view her with both love, fear and awe. The one last thing she possesses is incrediable charisma, a charisma that turns even the little things she does into things of beauty. One might call it a natural sense of glamour, and whether or not it's from the star is debatable. Sari is not, of course, aware of any of this. - gaia_left -Element: Light - gaia_left -Race: Half Kalina, half Shae - gaia_left -Bio: Sari was born deep in Me'a to her parents, Nazli and Fiachna. Sari was a bit of a surprise to both of them, as they hadn't intended to have a child; they weren't even married! Even with Sari on the way, they decided against the union. Fiachna didn't want to remain in one place, and Nazli didn't want to leave the beautiful plains of her homeland.
Sari's town was small and very remote. Those who lived there had almost always lived there, and visitors were few and far between. Those outsiders who did settle there spent years in the town before being fully accepted, though the populace of the place were always polite. It was simply a matter of change, and the unfamiliarity of it. Horses were a big part of the town's life, as most everyone needed at least one to get around in the great plains.
Sari was always known as "the b*****d" in the town, and was always seen as halfway an outsider. Though Nazli always stood by her daughter, Sari had a rather tough childhood because of it. As she aged, though, it became harder and harder for people to hate her just because of her birth. She was an exceptionally beautiful child, perhaps due to her mixed heritage, and she always tried so hard to be kind to those around her. Though Sari was never fully accepted by the village as a whole, at least the nasty hisses stopped. And finally, some people let their children play with her.
Sari was a little bit different from the other children, though, and it was more than just her b*****d birth. She sang before she could talk, and she had always loved the water. It was nothing unexpected, given the fact that her father had been a Shae, but many people found it disconcerting nonetheless - especially because her songs effected their moods. Nazli sometimes jokes that the villagers finally let up on Sari because they were tired of listening to her lonely songs, but she always says it with an edge of truth. None could listen to Sari sing her songs of sadness for long without their hearts breaking. There had even been a period in her life when the villagers tried to force Nazli to make Sari stop singing. Fortunately, it hadn't lasted. And when Sari's songs turned happy, no one wanted her to stop anyway.
And so, despite a rather rough beginning, Sari's life was quiet and peaceful. She wanted to own horses, perhaps care for them in the town, and was learning how from her mother, the current stablemaster. She had some friends - not many, but a close few - and some people smiled at her in the streets. Nazli was proud of her daughter, and Sari couldn't ask for more. Unfortunately, life was to ask more of her.
It was the day of Sari's 17th birthday. She was asleep, though fitfully, awaiting the pleasant day she expected tomorrow. It was in her dream that Anorad appeared in his full glory. Sari woke up immediately, only to be pulled back into sleep by the god who so wanted to contact her. "Stay in the Dreaming, child," he said. His voice was deep and sounded faintly of the crackling of flame. "I have something I must charge you with." Anorad said nothing more, but Sari knew that she had some sort of purpose, some sort of power... And that along with this purpose came a great deal of danger, but also that it must be done. Anorad nodded deeply to her once, then reached out with his left hand and layed it over her right eye.
Sari woke up again, this time with no god to drag her back to the Dreaming. Over her eye, where Anorad had touched her, she had a milky white handprint that glowed with the soft light of the moon in the dark. Sari didn't sleep again that night. Instead, she spent it packing. Anorad had left her with the need to leave her beautiful home of Me'a and go to Tarna, a place she'd never been before. But she had to go.
The next day, Sari told her mother. Nazli tried to convince her daughter that it had really been just a dream, but Sari knew otherwise. And thus, though it saddened both her and her mother greatly, Sari left for Tarna to fulfill the still unknown will of the gods.
As far as Sari's powers go, she seems to take more after her father than after her mother. Singing has always been her strength, and when immersend in water for a short period of time she gains the ability to breathe underwater and grows webbing between her hands and her feet. Her songs don't hold anywhere near the power of a full-blooded Shae's, but Sari can moderately effect moods with ease.
With her healing, Sari cannot heal more than a bad bruise when it comes to people. With horses, however... Sari has saved the lives of some of the towns horses, simply because animals are what she can best heal. - gaia_left -Personality: Sari is not a fighter, nor is she very worldly. She's lived in her small village her entire life, and though she's very curious and certainly not stupid, she's fairly naive when it comes to the ways of the world. She's often shy in large crowds, and she's generally more comfortable around animals than around people. Still, Sari has a warm heart, and she likes to help where she can. She's unlikely to stick up for herself unless directly confronted, and prefers to let things slide. This doesn't mean she forgets, though - Sari remembers almost everything people do to her, though she usually doesn't hold a grudge. Usually.
Sari's fairly confident and fond of herself, and isn't one to take insults to heart. She sees them more as a sign of other people being rude than as a sign of her own deficiencies. Still, Sari's often very hard on herself and she tries to do the best she can in almost any situation. A very tenacious child, Sari's unlikely to give up on any task she sets her mind to unless she proves to herself that she cannot do it with what's available to her. Sari rarely takes the word of others with reguards to what she can and cannot do, though, even that of those she trusts.
Sari was raised to be polite, and as such, she is. She expects the same courtesy from others, and is very suprised on those occasions that she doesn't receive it. She gives everyone a chance, even those rare travelers, and would much rather be friends than enemies. Not that Sari's a particularly outgoing person; though she does very well one-on-one, she rarely speaks out in groups unless she has something she really wants to say, or something she considers important. Sari treats both sexes more or less equally, though, in that she's not more shy around one than the other. People are just people, after all. The worst most will do is not like you.
Sari's very expressive. She can't hide her emotions very well, as she's never really tried or had to, which makes her very easy to read. Sari hates to lie anyway, so it's not as though she minds. Much of what she feels is communicated readily through her body language. Sari's very sensitive to the body language and moods of those around her due to the time she spends with horses, so it's often hard for people to hide what they feel from her as well. - gaia_left -Weapon: None. Sari hasn't been trained to fight, really. The closest thing she has to a weapon is the sling she sometimes must use to drive wolves away from the herd. Rani, her horse, is the fighter of the two. He's well used to defending Sari, though only really from animals. Only once from a man... - gaia_left -Appearance: Sari takes more after her mother than her father in appearance. Her shortish, somewhat choppy hair is the wheat-gold of most Me'ans, and reaches down to just past her chin. Sari usually just lets it do as it will, only going so far as to tuck her long bangs behind her delicate ears on most days. Only for special occasions does she really bother with it.
Sari's large, long-lashed eyes are a mix between the gold of her mother's and the blue of her father's, compromising in a strange combination of pale yellow and light blue. Seen from afar, they look like they might be seafoam green, but up close their complexity, along with their liveliness, is readily noticeable. Sari's skin isn't as pale as her mother's, sitting just outside the range of the Kalina but still too pale to be Shae. It's fairly smooth, with only a few of the common teenage blemishes. They're mostly hidden by the small smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks, freckles that have been slowly disappearing since she was a child.
As far as frames go, Sari has a decent one. She's not very large-chested, but she's quite slender and willowy. Her hips are wide, too, which give her body a nice, natural-looking curve. Sari's body, especially her legs, is very well toned as a result of all the work she does with horses, and she seems to glow with health. Her arms, legs and torso are long, giving her a very graceful appearance and making her look taller than her modest 5'5''. Sari's face is rather softly lined, though she has a perky nose and a spunky chin. Overall, she has a look of strange but very pleasing beauty.
Sari's clothing usually consists of a golden brown or blue knee-length skirt made from a very light, airy material and a simple tank top of the same stuff. The skirt is purposely torn up at the end and is decorated with little spirals made of dots on most of it, and with a triangle pattern at the top. The shirt reveals much of her belly and is decorated with the same triangle pattern at the top, with a row of dots on the bottom. Sari wears feather earrings most of the time, as well as a necklace depicting waves left for her by her father and several wooden bracelets with gold inlay - a gift given to her on her 15th birthday. On her feet, Sari usually wears lace-up sandals that wrap to about halfway up her calf. The deep brown ribbons are tied in bows. Her outfit gives one a somewhat nymph-like impression of Sari, which is what suits her best. - gaia_left -Mark: Sari's mark is the bright white handprint Anorad placed on her face when he touched her. It glows softly in the darkness, and contrasts more than might be expected with her somewhat fair skin. - gaia_left -Horse: ((I know it wasn't in the original skeleton, but I feel as though you should know a little about him)) Sari's horse is a 16 hand dun stallion - dun meaning that his coat is a dusty golden colour and his mane and tail are black, as are all four of his legs up to the knees. He also has a black stripe running along his spine from the base of his mane to the beginning of his tail, as well as some faint stripes on his shoulders and on his legs. Sari calls him "Rani" which, while it might seem like a name, really just means "older brother". Sari met him when she was 10 and he but a foal. She called him "Rani" because he was larger than her and seemed to know more about the world. The two are very close, and Sari needs neither reigns nor a saddle when riding Rani. She knows her older brother will take care of her.

- gaia_left -Gaia Name: Nicole Laurin - gaia_left -Character Name: Kiara Verona - gaia_left -Age: 20 - gaia_left -Race: Shae - gaia_left -Personality: Kiara is very much like her people. She is beautiful and calm, for the most part. She seems to take things as they come, adapting to each situation as it approaches. She rarely looses her temper, finding some way to always stay calm and collected. She is a very bright young woman, and knows more than her innocent looks would let on. She is curious, and has a great thirst for knowledge. This often gets her into more trouble than one could usually imagine. However, she always finds a way of getting out of that trouble. She prefers peace, but she can also fight when needed. - gaia_left -Bio: Kiara trained when she was younger, learning the art of war. Her fighting style seems more like a dance, and she has a tendancy to end up hypnotising her opponent with her smooth and continuous movements. Her strikes can be deadly, as her opponents are often too distracted to see them coming. However, there is something that she has loved more than her battle training. She loves music, and especially singing. Even among her people, her voice was considered a little more beautiful than normal. She has never enjoyed confontation of an angered sort, and has used her song on more than one occasion to bring down an escalated situation. She is a peacekeeper, above all else. She took to travelling when she turned eighteen, and has now seen all the lands. Although she often gets homesick, missing her own watery land, she is driven by her thirst for knowledge and her desire for adventure. She was considered an oddity amongst her own kind, for she was a bit of a troublemaker. Her curiousity and need for adventure often caused her to get into trouble. However, her innocent looks and kind heart always helped her out of it. She now travels the world, wishing to learn all of its secrets. In each land, she will stop to speak to the Quenya of that land, learning their customs and storing the knowledge in her vast mental library. - gaia_left -Powers: She has the usual powers of her people, her song. However, she has discovered a type of water manipulation as well. She can move the water as she wishes, and even cause it to rain. She has mastered a small amount of healing power, using water, but it is still minor. She can heal small wounds with great ease, but the larger a wound, the more energy it takes for her to heal it. She has also discovered, during her travels, that she has telepathy. She can hear people's thoughts, and even enter one's mind. However, she cannot force them to do anything. She can see their memories and thoughts, but she is more of an observer with this power. - gaia_left -Appearance: Kiara Kiara mermaid
