Shio lifted her hand slightly and used the water to help him back up. "Well, they say when you fall off of a horse the best thing to do is to get back up and get on it," she replied with a smile. "I think that can apply to other things too."

"And what is it that you want to do?" she asked, watching him sit down. She was starting to feel sorry for him, as he seemed to be having trouble even just getting out a sentence.

Shio smirked. "Well, for the sake of conversation would it make it any easier for you to talk if I used Henge no Jutsu to become a boy?" she asked. "Since you seem to have a hard time communicating with girls."

"N...no.....I'll still know that........*gulp*......you're a girl." His face became redder as the conversation went on. He started fidgetting with his fingers trying to calm down.

"Hmm..." Shio said, laying down on the water and looking up at the sky in thought. "So, Ichino-san, do you have trouble talking to girls cause of your bad experiences, or is there some other reason?" she asked, melting herself half-way into the water.

"I..........was teased a lot......not many girls liked me..........guys paid their attention to me cause they wanted my help in school.............girls attacked me cause I took their attention away from the boys.....................no one really liked me for me." He sat there and sniffled a bit. Beign a sensitive guy, he didn't like talking about his past either.

Shio listened while watching the clouds float by overhead. "Ah, but you've been out of school for quite a while now, ne? Kids can be cruel, but we just have to leave the past behind us and concentrate on the future. Otherwise we'll never get anywhere with our lives." She personally wasn't really ever teased during school, but she always got on other people's cases when she saw them picking on someone. Bullies had always bugged her to no end.

"So what?" Shio replied, looking over at Ichino. "If they're so insecure as to try to blame you for their bad relationships then that's their problem, not yours. You have no impact on what went on between them and their boyfriends."

Shio closed her eyes and smirked a little. "Well, you're smart, you're nice, and if you'd look up every blue moon they could see that you're actually kind of cute too," she replied. She opened her eyes and melted a little bit further into the water as she watched some birds fly by overhead. "With as skittish as you always are though, they never really get the chance to discover these things."

"......they called me nerdy..........pale..........and made me studder when I was about to answer a question making me look stupid."

"Well, then they're the dumb ones," Shio replied, reforming herself enough to sit up straight. "If they're stupid enough to go after the 'bad boys' then let them meet their fates. Being smart is not a crime. Besides, our village could use more intellegent shinobi," she said, recollecting the absolute idiots/buttheads that she usually ended up working with.
