And LA was just plain hard. Dx

Yes the hell it is. It took me an entire day to figure out how to find the first key for the first dungeon. This game would have been a whole lot shorter if I had been able to figure stuff out quickly, which I cannot. The water dungeon...the hours I went round and round and ROUND the entire thing looking for the boss key and finally found it...well those who've played it know where it is, I wont spoil it for those who havent. It's difficult but I think it's why I'm enjoying it.
I couldn't figure out what to do in the forest in the very beginning for days. .__.;; I think LA was even harder than OoT MQ, which is something, because MQ was hard too! gonk I hated all the dungeons in LA. Dx But... I loved the idea. The whole thing was a dream, and for me, it asked the idea of 'what is reality' as well. 3nodding
...Winndy likes finding odd messages in the games she plays. xD And she finds a lot in Zelda. 3nodding MM was a big one. >.<;;

You know, I never tried MQ yet. I have it, I just never went to try it out. At least I don't remember doing so if I have.

Anyway, for LA, I agree that all the dungeons in that game are freaking hard. They don't make the puzzles so obvious as they do in the other games. At least in OoT when I first played it, if I got stuck in a room I knew there was something in it that I was not looking for to get me out. Where as in LA if you are stuck in one room, you have to do something in another room to figure it out. Such a headache, but like I said, I enjoy it because it has that difficulty factor and is making the game much longer than it actually is.

MM was a fun title, a bit strange and a couple of things about it freaked me out, but it was still darn fun. Damnit, now I feel the need to break it out and play it.

MQ is good, can be frusterating, cause most of the things they do is put switches in outrageous places, or use outrageous things as switches... like cows.

Jah. D: That was annoying. Like in the 8th dungeon, there's this room with two chain chomps (or something), and a ledge. You kill the chain chomps, and a chest appears on the ledge. You try and get to the chest, you have to go out of the dungeon and back in, once one the ledge, the chest is gone, and the chain chomps are back. Dx I HATED that...

That's why I love it. It's defiantly the black sheep out in the Zelda series, I honestly think that none of the other games come close to it's bizarreness. I would love to play it again but, I conquered it. Dx It's hard to replay a game where you've already gotten everything in it. You know the little secret places, how to get things... argh. Dx I'd love it if they remade MM, better graphics and stuff, but made it like MQ or LA in the difficulty factor. That... would be the perfect Zelda game for me.

It actually didn't take long for me to do MM. People thought it was difficult to do and for some reason it was simple to me. I didn't find everything on the first go, so there was replay value in it for me. I still haven't gotten all the heart pieces to this day.

I disagree about it being the black sheep of the series. I lay that title squarely at the feet of Zelda II. That game has the biggest 'wtf is going on' thing happening. It was entertaining for what it was offering. The biggest problem that I had with it was that no matter where you were at, once you died your 3 lives you started all the way back at the sleeping princesses castle. That pissed me off to no end if I died at the other end of the world. On top of that once you reached the final castle you didn't dare turn the machine off so you could keep starting at the beginning of that castle. It was all kinds of frustration that wasn't necessary. It was fun for a while, but after making the same trip 900 times you get tired of doing it. To this day I've not seen the end of that game.

Thanks for warning me about the chain chomps in level 8. I haven't gotten that far yet! xd

LA was my first Zelda game. heart
I had kinda forgotten about the challenges that first time posed. For instance, I had no idea what a pols voice was. Has there been any other Zelda games where you had to defeat enemies in a certain order?

Didn't see this one. sweatdrop

I'm so happy that I am not the only person that was stumped by the pols voice thing. I eventually figured it out because I could identify every other monster except that one, so trial and error won the day.
As for the defeat enemies in order thing, I'm actually not sure. Once I've finished LA the only Zelda games I'll not have played are Ages/Seasons and TP. I don't recall seeing that puzzle in any other game though. Do you know Winndy?

I'm taking Great Works of the Western World I (a required course for the Honors program), Transition to Adulthood (my first year seminar), Introduction to Psychology, and Introduction to Sociology.

I haven't played Master Quest *___* All of the 3d Zelda games have been really easy, so a hard one would be a li'l slice of heaven <3

For some reason I felt that OoT was way shorter than TP. But that's prolly 'cause I've only played TP once.

Ah, MM MQ would be amazing <3 And with upgraded graphics? Mmmm! *w*

Pigeon- Psychology is fun! I took it in high school and I want to take it again in college...soon!!! So is that 13 hours you are taking? Do you work too?

Winndy- I hardly count the bottom of the well as a dungeon, just like the ice cavern isn't really a dungeon...if you were to count those then there are a few caves in TP. That one with the really annoying moving the ice block around, then a few that you find pieces of heart in.

jkjkat- umm in OoT you have to hit the deku shrub in a certain order... ninja

I guess that's the right time. Though some classes are on 3 days and others are only 2. *scratches head* I took Social Psychology in high school, but that class was a joke. I would like to get a job - extra money never hurts - so I'm thinking of working either in the library or somewhere else on campus.

Aw man, I just remembered that puzzle in TP where you had to get the two statues back to their proper places. It took me forever because I'm horrible at those sorts of puzzles x_x; I didn't even finish it; I gave my brother the controller and told him to move around randomly for me until he got it xD

Kaze - Ah, Zelda II... the side-scrolling bugged me to no end. Ad some of the elements to the game as well, such as the magic system. I didn't play it long, but even in the short amount of time I did, it didn't quite "feel" like Zelda to me... :/ And when I say b;acl sheep, I didn't mean gameplay, I meant more on story line. xP

I know I didn't get everything in my first go of MM. xD I didn't find it particulary difficult either, not annoying, dispite the "you have three days to do everything, GO" deal.

Pigeon - Wouldn't? xD
I personnaly thought that TP was quite short compared to Oot, however, there's major time differance between when I first played OoT and when I first played TP. xD

MQ is fun, annoying, but lots of fun. Especially if you're tired of easy to beat games. LA is a good one too.

I hated that. -_- I think I figured it out though, finally, but on my second file, I couldn't remember how I did, so I just went to game faqs to get the answer. xP

Fantasy - Well, I count the Ice Cavern and the Bottom of the Well more than the caves you find in TP, personally. I guess the ice cave and the well would take on more of the name of mini dungeons. They even had a map, compass, and special item at the end of them too. =P

Roll Goal... I figured out a way to cheat on that on the Wii version... till the levels got ditches. -_- I then made my brother play it. xD He wouldn't stop till he had beaten it, or ran out of rupees. He then make me go get more rupees, then play it again. xD I think that damn games took more of my rupees than Tingle did in WW with the triforce charts... Dx

Oh, storywise. Ok then ya it makes sense.

Speaking of Tingle...Have you seen this yet?

Considering how much I HATE him, I'll still buy the game if it becomes available to me.

O.O er...I think I will pass on that ame when it becomes available..

Winndy- Hmm...I don't remember there being a map and compass in the bottom of the well...besides you can warp out of there any time you want to, like just get the eye of truth and go. 3nodding

Fantasy - There was. How else do you find your way down there and all the items the first time round? xD

Winndy- Well I don't use a map...ever well not in OoT anyway...
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:52 pm

You must have you're very first time playing it. O: Although, I'm the same, I just have to play through the game once and I don't need the map, ever. xP Although if I don't get it, it'll bug me. xP

Nope, see the first time...I wasn't smart enough to use the map and just wondered around everywhere sweatdrop I dunno it just never occcured to me to use it...and I wasn't really ever stuck that badly in OoT...because it was a joint effort me and my older brother both played it.
