Immortal Methos
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Tue Jun 26, 2007 1:22 am

Methos gave an unexpected grin. "I have no doubt you will."

His eyes narrowed as something moved at the edge of his vision, too far away to give off an Immortal signature if it was one. His slouching pose in the swing gave nothing away as he said, "So, I thought you rented an apartment or something after Joe hired you."

"Oh I did, house to be truthful, bit big for my tastes but it's nice." It had huge gardens, that was her reason for liking it, most the house would get closed off and ignored. "Went ahead and bought it, might as well, if nothing else I won't have to worry about rent." That alone gave away she had a good amount of money somewhere, from more then just watcher salary that was for sure. "Had a neighbor bring over muffins, can you believe that? Said she wanted to welcome me to the neighbored and invite me to the weekly barbecue. Weirdos."

Methos blinked. "You think friendliness is weird?" He shook his head, standing. "Never mind," he said. "Why don't you head on home now?" The buzz of the approaching Immortal jabbed through his head and down his spine. It was not MacLeod. "I'll... have a talk with this guy."

She glared at him on that, the dismissal kind of like a pat on the head and a dismissal, 'good dog, run along now.' Not that she moved to stand, "So many of you are the same, it's rather...well nothing, I couldn't care less to be honest." With a strained sigh she stood, not glancing to him, instead pulling a cell to glance at the time which pulled another sigh from her, "Fine, fine, play nice now kids." She hadn't even pulled a weapon yet as she turned to talk off, pausing only a moment, "Oh, and there is no such thing as true friendliness." Kali wasn't stupid however, she knew good and well where the other immortal was and went opposite direction, she didn't exactly have a death wish. Not that she was planning on going far, she wanted to watch.

Methos was relieved when Kali moved off -- It would be much easier if she wasn't within arm's length of this bully while he was trying to take him. This was just the sort of guy MacLeod would go after, the sort of Immortal who hunted the young, inexperienced and the pre-Immortals.

He watched as the other stalked toward him, loosing the sword from the inside of his coat. Methos didn't arm himself yet, watching warily in a deceptively relaxed stance.

(OOC: Immortal Ghost, you want to run this guy? pirate )

Blood covered and snaring he stopped once the immortal was in sight, in ways this was better, and in ways worse, more of an effort on his part, but more fun at the same time. "Gonna play hero or something?"

"Or something," Methos said calmly, running through his options in his head. Fight him and take his head, or shoot him and take his head? Damn MacLeod and his boy scout ways!

"I'd leave town, if I were you," he smiled. "It's your only warning."

The warning he ignored, it was the calmness that gave him pause, green eyes watching with caution, generally he wasn't a stupid person, attacking blindly was a stupid move, one he didn't even think of. "That would be hard, I think the wife would get pissy, for that matter I think I made a new friend tonight, one that you're in my way to get to."

"Your funeral," Methos shrugged, smoothly drawing his Ivanhoe broadsword. "Besides, didn't your mother ever tell you that when a girl shoots you with a large bore weapon she's saying 'no'?"

"There's never a no, that's just 'a maybe later let me think on it.'" Was his calm answer, sword already in hand, "So you aren't going to let me past then hmm? She must be a good lay then."

"I don't bed children," Methos said, grinning, letting the power of Death shine through his eyes. Then he was moving, quicksilver in the moonlight, and the sound of blades clashing filled the still night air.

Not far away, a battered-looking Immortal, still damp from his plunge in the bay, heard the sounds and cursed through clenched teeth as he sped up his limping pace.

Kali wasn't all that far away, after all she had wanted to watch, study, styles, speeds, strengths, everything really. So from her spot atop the monkey bars she was calmly humming along. Though her humming died when she saw someone approaching, then she sighed and slid to the ground, she landed to hard and went down to one knee cringing at the impact. Even so she got to her feet and went to cut the person off from their path with a forced smile, "So sorry duckie, you really can't go this way." Her tone was lazy, careful, she wasn't happy with having her back to the fight, not at all, but she was hoping both of them were to busy to notice her, hopefully at any rate.

He was better at defensive then offensive, that became clear quickly, his attacks were slower, more uncertain, defending was smooth and easy. His problem was his heart wasn't in it, that alone was going to be his downfall more than likely.

MacLeod was so focused on the fight in front of him that it took him a moment to recognized Kali. Damn it, Methos, he thought. What the hell are you doing out here?

He looked down at the girl. "You shouldn't be here," he said firmly. "It's not safe."

Methos was aware of the approach of a third Immortal, and he had a real good idea who it was. Ever since the double Quickening at Bordeaux he had been somewhat aware of MacLeod's unique buzz, regardless that until then all Immoral signatures had been the same: anonymous.

Fully engaged in battle with the unknown Immortal, Methos paid his friend no mind. He was not playing with this guy, and was quite ready to finish the job.

She snorted, "You look like you had some fun...and no s**t, I think I know that already, I'm not an idiot, just don't give a damn." She gave a shrug and another short smile, "Go fig."

The next problem was the new buzz from McLeod got him him to falter slightly, a bare pause in surprise, he realize his mistake though ad went to move back. This wasn't going to work, not at all, it was better to fall ball and try to get the idiot girl another time.

Methos pressed his advantage, advancing as the unknown Immortal fell back. "You worried about MacLeod joining in?" he grinned. "Don't be. He plays by the rules. I don't." The grin got wider as the ancient tried to cut off his retreat.

MacLeod raised a brow at Kali. "Then stay with me," he said curtly, his worried gaze going to the two fighters.
