I am on Kira's side of this as what he is doing is just and I would do the exact same thing if I got the death note.
And after reading all of these posts I started to wonder, what would the world of Death Note be like if L hade found the note?

Kira is a special person. I believe he posseses the strength many of us do not have, and as Pervert said, we may suprise our selves in that situation. Some who say that they are more than strong enough or smart enough to pull off what Kira did, or are morally OK with it, when in reality no one here would be able to do it, just like Misa said....You've got to be a special type of person to be able to kill somone and not have a hard time mentally afterwards (even though Kira sorta did, went a bit psycho at the end, but thats human, and thats what makes us love him, not that he's a god, but that he is a person like us, doing great things...)

I kinda agree too
There's some criminals this world could do without
But I'm not sure under what circumstances they should be killed
It's like the death sentence
I'm not too sure
I can't help but feel a bit of a resentment towards Light for being responsible for L's death though
But I haven't finished watching Death Note yet
I hope that not being a full on Kira worshipper doesn't get me kicked out
I still think he's partly right

If someone was kicked out for not being a total kira worshipper, i'd leave, because of the sheer rediculousness of it xD I do feel bad about him having killed L....it almost killed off the series :/ But yeah. I can see where you are coming from.
Most people I know who followers of Kira, have had something horrid happen to them and want the person who did it to them to be punished. One person is even in this guild *will not say due to friendship confidentiality*

I agree. I'm Pro-Kira, but L was my favorite character in the series. When he died, I almost stopped reading. I didn't like Near and Mello as much as L D:
I kinda feel bad for yyour friends, of course, but I wouldn't go Pro-Kira because something bad happened to me personally. Something bad did happen- Kids are idolizing the wrong people, thus becoming like them in real life. I'd kill off the bad people like that, the criminals, and tthe bad people in my life last. Unless it was something like killing off my entire family, I feel that using the Death Note just to get back at your uncle that, say, stole your dad's car, I think it's kinda...selfish.

They don't necissarily idolize Kira for those reasons, they idolize the idea that they might feel some sort of justice...
And its not for petty things like stealing cars. Its people like rapists, violent people who've caused near loss of limb, or movement. Battery, domestic violence. ((I work in a safehouse volunteering, helping them be able to prosecute thies men/people that hurt them and still feel safe....And i meet thies people all the time and somtimes become thier best friend, because i am someone who won't ever hurt them, especially since im male and mostly thies people are hurt by males, so they often feel safe letting me baby sit thier kids while they get thier lives back on track, and even just hanging out with me....)). And they believe that not just the ones who affected them need justice, its for everyone who would do something horrid like this to another person.

Also, sorry i just sort of...Spilled that all out ^^;; I got offended for the wrong reasons and i get upset when i feel people don't understand the situation and underestimate what im saying, even though its my fault xDD
