Well, with the faction warefare up now, my corp had joined in. Most of us aren't very active, theres maybe a grand total of 4 pilots who get online from time to time. Anyway, because of this, I went out and joined a fleet led by Boromor himself.
We got out in Heydeilies, I think it was, and found we had jumped through the gate... DIRECTLY INTO A 100+ MAN STRONG ENEMY FLEET!
The battle didn't exactly go well. We had around 60 guys, I think. I was in my lil' Griffin, when I found that the Gallente idiots had me on their most wanted list. I managed to permajam one for about the 30 seconds my ship lasted.
The lag from the massive engagement made it so I could barely move. Soon enough I was in my pod, then I was in my cloning station. I don't even know what killed me, as my overview, selected item, cargohold, modules, and everything else was completely frozen. The battle kinda sucked for us. But then we got back into high sec, and assembled a new fleet of about 120 guys. This lead to, surprisingly, not as much lag as I had imagined. Anyway, when we got to where the enemy fleet had been, we found that they had high-tailed it after salvaging and looting all our wrecks. I think they took the biomass too.
That was the first time I had been podkilled, and Boromor's first utter loss. Sad, sad day.
