aznswimgal musicaldiva wow, and I thought I had it bad... thankfully big meets only come around bout once every other month or so.. or at the end of the season w/ districts, regionals, and state. (for high school) Thats true...

Some of my friends ask me why swimming is considered a sport... How is it NOT a sport?! If they went through a practice I'll bet they wouldn't ask again.

it annoys me the most is when you say like your swimming the 200 free and then they ask "what is that" or "how mutch is that"

lpdietz06 People always tell me that swimmings not a sport because I'm a swimmer. lol that happend at my school, a cheerleader said swimming was not a sport, and that cheerleading was, the entire team had a good laugh with that

If I ever say how much I have to practice in a day/week, they always tell me to quit if I hate it so much. But what they don't understand is that I don't hate it, I'm just showing off the fact that I'm so...committed. xD

Okay, I'm trying to get it known around here that I am a diver, but I was still invited into this thread.
The question people ask me that bothers me is when they ask
"are you on the swim team?"
and I say No, I'm on the dive team
and they say "oh, same thing"
The swim team and dive team are not the same thing!!

Corbyn Dallas The question people ask me that bothers me is when they ask "are you on the swim team?" and I say No, I'm on the dive team and they say "oh, same thing" The swim team and dive team are not the same thing!! you know, i agree with you. diving and swimming aren't the same thing. one jumps off the board while the other just swims laps back and forth. i have some diver friends who do NOT know how to swim at all. all they know how to do is paddle their way to the ladder.
