Winry sighed again, turning to face the mountain of metal before her. "Oh...it's nothing," she said, flashing a quick glance at Ed before turning back to her window. "I just wish someone would say something," she muttered softly, jabbing her chin back into her hand with a grumy frown.

Roy nodded as Hughes's suggestion. "Yes, I agree." he said. "Please, if you notice anything suspicious, call me, I hate trying to be wary of something that I don't even know about."

Hughes nodded. "I'll contact you right away," he said. "Oh, and by the way, have you goteen yourself a girlfriend yet? You seemed to have avoided the question completely. I don't see how a man like you wouldn't have a girl though. You seem to be a real hit among the ladies."
Al looked out the window at the passing scenery. It was quiet on the train. The boy looked over at Winry. "Winry," he said before shaking his head. The suit of armor looked over at his short brother. "I wonder why Ed is so quiet," he said to himself more than anyone else.

Roy's eyes widened for a second. He had hoped that Hughes would have forgotten about that question... He shook his head and even smiled slightly. "No, not yet." he said.

Hughes sighed. "Man, Roy. You really need to go out and have some fun. Get yourself a girlfriend and just forget about work for an evening. I would too, but you know I have a wife. My wonderful Gracia! She's like a sparkling diamond amoung a pile of coal. She's a wonderful wife too. SHe makes great food, she greets me at the door when I get home, she has wonderful converations with me. She's the best wife in the world and I am the lucky man who is married to her." He smiled just thinking about her.

Scar moved around the alleyway's in a quiet movement and was as swift as a fox. He watched the people ponder around and walked out with his red eyes glaring through his black sunglasses. He glanced down at his cursed arm his brother had besaken him although it was to put state alchemists back in there place. He aimed for the Fullmetal alchemist and the flame alchemist. Although any chance he got for the others, he would take and put them in a place with God.

Edward Elric was a hard person to read, even by those who knew him best. Al was the only one who came closest. Everyone else was left at a distance, blocked by his emotions by a solid wall. He seemed to have forgotten he was sitting with people as he stared out the window, elbow on the sil and chin resting in the palm of his gloved hand. His mind was lost, wandering from thoughts that consisted of all sorts of things. Everything from the serious to the mundane to the just plan random.
But suddenly he seemed to snap out of whatever thoughts had troubled him, having been brought back into reality by voices. He turned his liquid golden eyes to Winry and Al, finding them both staring at him. He stared back a moment before he realized he hadn't said anything since they boared the train. Ed grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head, sitting up straight.
"Oh, sorry. Train rides make me kinda lethargic."

"You know, Ed," Winry began speaking fondly to Edward after he had decided to speak up, "You've really changed since you left home. You're starting to worry me." She looked at him with a concerned look on her face, much like a friend would do for someone who's in trouble.
"I don't want to worry about you," she added much quietly, more like she was speaking only to herself, but decided to voice the remark instead of making it a silent soliliquy.

Ed blinked at Winry's comment. Changed? Had he changed? He hadn't noticed. He exchanged a curious look at Al, who seemed just as lost. (Somehow he had learned to read Al even without expressions.) He turned liquid gold eyes back to Winry, suddenly embarrassed.
"Uh... er... Well, really, I haven't changed that much!" Ed said cheerfully, rubbing the back of his head with a forced grin. "You don't need to worry about me!"
He was suddenly afraid he was going to make her cry.

Seeing Ed smile like he used to set her mind somewhat on ease. Maybe he hasn't changed as much as I thought, she told herself, still peering at him strangely. She turned to the window and gasped, pointing, "Is that it? Is that the city?" she asked, getting overly-excited.
In her mind, she was already making a wish-list of new tools and part she wanted to buy while she was here. Her face twisted into glee as the objects passed through her mind.
