Love Is Destructive The Pirates Of The Carribean series disappoints me. First movie? Complete and total ******** awesomeness. Second movie? Still good, but not nearly of high quality as the first. I haven't quite seen the third movie, but... my love has seen it and I would probably agree with her since we both have similar tastes as such. Well, she told me that it was actually a huge disappointment (and we both hate that whore Elizabeth) and that the first movie is undoubtedly the best.
Started strong, finished weak. Oh well.
I haven't been to the movies in SO long. I honestly cannot remember the last thing I saw. I hate Elizabeth too. But the third one was amazing. And with series, you can almost never beat the first one. It's basically a given. I think the second and third were still great movies (when not comparing to the first) and totally worth the watch. You'd be a fool not to see the third because of what someone told you. Almost everyone I've talked to loved it.

I dont know how much she told you about the movie and I dont want to ruin it. I personally thought the third one was the best. I didnt really like the 2nd one.. it was ok. The first one was pretty good... good enough to make me want to see more

Halloween (2007) ___________________ I finally saw Rob Zombie's Halloween last thursday. After much anticipation to see if he pulled it off, I'm happy in my opinion to say he did just that.
Remaking Halloween was a bold move, with open access for much criticism, to which he would surely get from some people. However, making it different to the original was smart as those remakes that are basically the same as the original eg. Psycho & The Omen prove to be quite pointless and horrible.
It is clear in this film that Rob has indeed grown as an artist in the film industry. He was able to create a masterpiece from a masterpiece keeping the original feel to it that it most definitely should have. Rob, being a huge fan of horror films knew exactly what to do it would seem, to keep this from being another disaster remake. He even added a clown mask, which was considered for the original film before deciding to go with their painted over kirk mask.
One thing that somewhat bothered me was the amount of people crawling in this film. There were so many, the repetitiveness was a tad annoying. However, it was much better than seeing people get up and run after severe wounds like in those cheap Hollywood 'horror' movies.
Rob provided an eerie path into Michael Myers childhood that I was only too happy to walk down. Daeg Faerch, was perfect for the role of young Myers. I hadn't seen him before but he did a great job and has scored 5 upcoming roles in various films. Credit to Tyler Mane, he made Michael Myer's scarier than ever. The size of him just for starters, definitely attributed to the psychotic killer's new more indulging sense of hell.
Of course the originals are always the classics, however. I feel that Rob Zombie made an excellent choice with Halloween for one very good reason. Halloween, released October 25, 1978 was a very low budget independent film. It was shot in 21 days with the budget of $300,000 to which half was spent on camera's for the film. Although it was the most profitable independent film of the time that set a trend for slasher films, it set room for improvement in that it could've possibly reached a whole new level given better resources and a higher budget. Although John Carpenter never would've been able to provide certain things that today's technology can, Rob Zombie certainly gives us an idea of how it could've been given more resources.
Something that does provide a huge difference in comparison to the first film, which I feel gives us the much darker version of Myers is the amount of blood spilt in the 2007 film. The original Halloween did not have one drop of blood in it, which is something most people don't even notice.
Overall, I found the film to be awesome. Not surprising that Rob Zombie did such a great job and showing that he is able to work with different film feels, other than his previous two films, House of 1000 corpses and The Devil's Rejects.
He deserves much credit for his efforts. ________________________________________ Obviously there's going to be people that won't agree. Each to their own.

******** dude. I know you didn't write that specifically for this guild but thanks for sharing. I honestly thought the film was lacking some things. There's a general sadistic feel to Rob Zombie's first movies that I'd come to love that was scarce to be seen in this one.
For all his credit, to take Halloween and create a prequel 29 years later I think he did a damn good job. I give the directing a 10 but screenplay somewhere around 6 or 7.

I love Rob Zombie's directing style, and i think he had a pretty good blend of his type of vision and the original halloween, at least during the parts that share the same timeline. I also really loved being able to look into the aspects of michael myers' childhood.

"Stay Alive" - Funniest horror flick since Army of Darkness.
"Beowulf" - Awesome for an animated film, but they screwed up the original story.. That's HollyWood for ya.
"Saw 4" - I loved the series, so this movie was just another plate full of awesome.
"40 Year Old Virgin" - finally got to finish it. Found it amusing.
"Knocked Up" - Not as expected, but still amusing none the less.

I believe it is safe to say: Resident Evil: Apocalypse remains one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Love Is Destructive I believe it is safe to say: Resident Evil: Apocalypse remains one of the worst movies I have ever seen. If 2 girls 1 cup were a full length feature film in 3D I think I might watch that instead of RE:A It's one of two movies I ever decided not to finish watching.

"Saw 4" - I loved the series, so this movie was just another plate full of awesome. Saw these recently as well: Beowulf - Agreed. It was a massive disappointment to me how they portrayed Beowulf, but other than that, pretty good. Saw 4 - ...Wow, that wasn't Saw. I loved 2 and 3, and the first one was good, but this one really bit it.
