Ren nodded, as he dug into his kunai pouch, keeping himself silent. No need to reveal their position, by staying unnoticed would give them the slight starting advantage.

The Hanasuke kekkei genkai was a unique one, but as Hanabi had mentioned, Ren was a skilled plant-manipulator.

And since the entire forest was made of greenery, this was Ren's ideal playing feild. It seemed out of the lot of them, Ren had the most advantage.

He took four paper seals out of his kunai pouch, placing them each in front of him, careful not to activate them. Four explosive tags.

Making four hand signals, he initiated his own first jutsu, one of his basic attacks, the Koujo no Ningyou no Jutsu.

From inside his sleeves, vines began to come out from underneath his clothing, creeping up by the roots, attaching to his fingertips. Using his own chakra, he fueled it into the vines, as they obeyed the whim of his chakra, growing quickly longer as it wrapped silently down the tree, creeping underneath the bushes to the other side of their opponents.

"One... two... three... four," Ren counted in his head, placing four on the ground with the use of the vines. With his chakra, he could control his seeds, if he commanded them to sneak around, he used his energy to maneuver them like a puppet.

Seeds and plants were Ren's greatest weapons.

His glasses were low on his nose, making sure to keep an eye on the opponents, hidden in the brush.

He'd calculated about a 25 yard radius in between the four explosive seals, as his job was set.

Now all they needed was a little movement to trigger them. That was where Fang came in. To trigger his bombs, they'd need a little... jump start.

"Your turn, Xinfeng," Ren thought.

Fang gave him a thumbs up, as he dug into his kunai pouch, pulling out four kunai, quickly tying a paper bomb to each. Paper bombs and kunai were all tools every good ninja would keep with them, and each of the three there had an adequate supply.

Two in each hand, he crossed his arms, bearing the kunai to his sides, then abruptly released them, throwing them towards the four corners Ren had made.

Each had landed on the ground, not aimed for the opposing team or the proctor, but just inside of the four-cornered area Ren's vines had outlined.

With the four kunai simultaneously hitting the ground, the paper bombs initiated.

Even if the ninja had managed to each put one out, there would still be one more. There was not enough time for them to disengage all of them, since they were spread far enough apart. That was also if the genin knew how to successfully put out a paper bomb.

The kunai hitting the ground should've at least caught their attention, as well as the sparks emitting from the paper bombs as they'd initiated their own countdown. Fang watched with interest, he wanted to see the reaction of this group. Keeping it contained inside the four-cornered explosive barrier would also keep his own team safe, roughly about 20-25 meters away from their opponents, as well as being high off the ground, out of reach.

With the 25 meter radius from the center, which seemed to be where the group was located, it would also be highly difficult to get fully out of the blast range. Even if they escaped, they'd probably still catch the end of it with a few light burns and some singed skin.

"Three... two... one..." Fang counted under his breath.

KA-BOOM!!



SUMMARY

Ren placed four explosive seals in a 25 meter radius around the team by use of his vines, manipulated by his chakra, creating an explosive barrier, but required motion to be able to set it off.

Fang threw four kunai with paper bombs attached, just inside the four corners, to set off the explosive barrier.
