I'd stand up for Ginny, but there's really no point, is there?
Anyway, on to People Who Might Possibly Die...Hagrid? I can see him dying for Grawp or for Harry. Remus? I hope not, though you can't be sure. One person I think won't die is Professor McGonagall - I get the feeling that she'll be around for a long, long time. Don't ask me why right now, but I'll look up textual evidence later.

Awe, I would be sad if Hagrid died, but I can see it happening. I think Grawp is going to die defending Hagrid, though. It'll be this whole sad thing between brothers (of a sort?) and she's probably going to try and get people to cry over the situation. But, this is just speculation. I don't think Remus will die for the reasons I mentioned in the other thread. In short, Remus is paired up with Tonks so that he won't run blindingly into the battle with hopes of dying to be with his friends in the afterlife. Tonks is the thing holding him back from doing that. For that, I love Tonks. Well, I do like her character because she's goofy, but... yes.
Yeah, I agree with you on that one, Shadow. McGonagall is going to live this one. She's totally becoming the next headmaster at Hogwarts. XD

Well, I thought Hagrid was going to die in OotP (before the book came out, I mean), but that was before he actually did something that made him plot-essential again (i.e. bringing back Grawp).

Not that I know of, but until he brought Grawp back, he had become inessential to the plot. He had his moments in CoS and GoF (Azkaban and the Rita thing), but once he stopped becoming the source of secret information (like he was in PS/SS), he wasn't really that important any more. So if JK was going to kill someone, Hagrid seemed like a possibility until OotP actually came out.

Well, I sincerely hope that Hagrid doesn't die. I like the giant. He's... well, I can't even put words to him. He's just a very likable person, in my opinion.

Oh, he's likeable enough, but I do lose patience with him sometimes. Though the way he manipulated Madame Maxime raised my opinion of him a little.

Hagrid's awesome. He's a good person with a big heart. I honestly admire Hagrid when it comes to his bravery with some of those animals. I mean, I don't think there are many people out there in the world that would actually raise Fluffy, or keep a dragon's egg.

All of that is very admirable and all, but you've got to look at the pragmatic side of things, which Hagrid certainly fails to do.
