Crystalyn sighed inwardly. She felt so left out and unimportant. She wondered why the Queenhad summoned her as well. It was clear that there was no need for her to stick around in akward silence.
" I beg your pardon your Magesty, But I see no need for me to stay any longer in the shadows of your presence. I would like to be excused." She awaited the Queen's reply.

The Queen shook her head looking at her " No...you must stay for the feast and celebrate...you also helped protect the elven city and the new dragon rider so you must be rewarded also so stay" she said nodding and placed a hand on Crystalyn " I am very grateful for what you did " she said nodding.

Crystalyn felt like she was soaring over the city on the wings of a dragon. Her heart raced. The Queen was greatful for what she had done and no she would be attending a feast hosted in the castle. She had never felt better. Suddenly she rembered how she was dressed.
"Your Magesty, I am honored to be able to attend the celebration, but I would be most relifed if I could have say, an hour to clean uop a bit. I feel awful in this bloody bouse and smell of Urgal stench."

The queen smiled at her and nodded "of course you shall all be directed to a room where you can bath and change" she said and held her hand out " someone will direct you to your place to stay" she said nodding
Talina bowed " thank you" she said she picked up her dragon and then went outside where there were three elves waiting " Lady talina follow me" the one said she did.

Melena had managed to stay in the shadows and not be noticed so when the queen dismised them to clean up she slipped out quietly. i am just a towns person who doesnt need to be noticed she thought to herself as she went to her small house near the edge of elesmera and freshened up. however i still will try the dragons egg just to please my family and friends that will prove to them that im not an important person so they will leave me alone to do what i want. the dragon egg that had arrived at elesmera from the varden would be put out at the banquet tonight for any who wanted to try it and see if they would be a dragon rider.

Crystalyn had to restrain herself from squealing with joy. She would actuly be clothed garb from the Queens castle!
"Thank you, my Queen." She bowed her head respectful tward the Queen. As she was ushered down a long corridor, she cast a glance down the hall to Melina. She ony caught a glimps of her surring out the door. "Why does she not want to fresehn up in the castle? And why, hasn't she said anything to the Queen? It's almost as if she would rather not attend the banquit." Crystalyn shrugged and the rembered a rumor she had heard earlier that morning. Another dragon egg had been recovered by elven scouts and brought back to the Queen. There was a very good chance that everyone at the banquet! She held back a giggle of delight. She could be a rider by exactly 10 o' clock tonight.

Talina was brought to a beautiful room near the queen's castle it was the nearest one for dragon riders and they needed her there for when her dragon grew it needed a place to sleep. Talina went inside placing her dragon down she then looked at it and thought ' I need name for you' she thought she wondered if it was a girl or boy but then it squeaked and batted her eyelashes as if understanding and letting her know that she was a girl. Talina grinned and thought of a name " how about Mael" she asked she nodded and patted her foot. Talina grinned and then got bathed and changed into a beautiful dress fit for a princess.

((im jumping ahead to the banquet))
Melena headed to the hall for the banquet almost every single elf was going to be there tonight to welcome the new dragon rider talina and try the egg. Melena saw Talina surounded by elfs Melena nodded to her when she looked her way. Melena got in the long line for the egg feeling rediculous but if it made people happy she would do it, reluctently.

Two elves escorted Niel to a small hut a long walk away from the palace. The hut had nothing more than a bed, kitchen, bathroom & fireplace. He turned to the elves. "This is it?" One of the elves pointed to a winding set of stairs.
"There is a library up stairs"Niel nodded and the elves dismissed themselves and shut the door behind them. Niels clothes were all torn and bloody so he decided to take bathe and slip into a change of clothes. In the bathroom there was a huge bath. He looked it over and it appeared that the elves had the giant size bath get its water from a hot spring so that there was always water and it was always hot. Niel jumped into the bath and spent the better part of an hour in the steaming hot water. After pulling himself away from the bath he dressed in a simple light blue robe. He slipped is hands into the opposite sleeves and suddenly a hole in the air shimmered into being he sweated slightly from effort of making the hole. He stepped through he stood right behind Talina. He let out a breath and the hole disappeared.

After Crystaln had bathed and dressed she was escoerted to the banquet hall. She was dressed in an emerlad green dress that dropped past her anckle in an elagent swoop. She was wearing her ruby pendant which shimmered in the sunset light. Her hair was tied back into a formal bun with two diamond pins sticking out of it. She had never felt more beautiful.
The hall was packed with elves all waiting paitently to be tried out as a dragon rider. Crystalyn was about to join the line and look for some of the others when one of the Queen's assistance guided her over to the Queen's table.

Talina turned her head as Neil came through a hole she looked at it then said " impressive that is" she grinned slightly as she looked at her dragon two small kid elves were playing with it laughing. " How is your......room?" she asked.

Melena blinked in supprise when she saw Neil appear through a hole. he must have a lot of power to do that she thought then she turned back and snorted in disgust at the elfs who went by with tears in their eyes because the dragon didnt choose them. who would want to be chased and forever be in battle even if it ment having a dragon? its such a teedious life being a dragon rider. Melena was geting closer to the egg. it was a beautiful white egg, it looked like a dimond shimering in the light from the tourches.

Crystalyn managed to escape the elves escorting her to the table in the crowd. She spotted Melena, Talina, and Neil. She walked twards them. They were watching as Melena approached the dragon egg. The egg was more beautiful than anything Crystalyn had ever seen. It shone like ten thousand diamonds caght in the rays of early sun,light. SHe would try the egg after Melena. That was, if Melena didn't become a rider first.

Niel smiled and bowed to Talina. "Thank you my lady Talina. And my room is perfect but some..." He cut short as heard someone singing off in the distance. The sound was ephemeral, it filled his head and for a second he forgot where he was. Abruptly the singing stopped and it felt like a door had just been slammed in his face. He blinked several times and took his hands from inside of his sleeves and let them fall to his side. He turned to Talina again with a look of confusion on his face"..I'm sorry what was I saying?"

Talina grinned " you were saying about your room my lord?" she said sounding confused but then nodded and said " the singing of the elves is quite distracting at times" she placed her hand on his arm looking at him " it's easy to get lost" she said and grinned
