He thinks to himself silly lass what a dragon need readin for? Enough stuff keep a dragon busy without wastin it on a silly past time. He nae hae the time to learn to read he had to be hunting for food.

Rather than argue anymore Mayumi decides she does need to clean up. What a boor of a dragon he can be. "Where can I clean up?"
Phoebus points towards a room in the back. "Tis through there clean up before ye get in to me pool. The floors be easier to clean than me pool.
Aggravating dragon he is she can't wait for the egg to hatch so she can go home. Might well clean up first. Mayumi heads towards the room Phoebus indicated. Murmuring a "thanks" to Phoebus.

A little while later after Mayumi cleans herself up.
Mayumi returns to the main room fresh and clean. She finds Phoebus is making some arrows. He must really like to hunt. They look better made than hers were she reflects.
"I'm sorry I got upset before I just didn't like you insulting Pepper. Do you want me to see about cooking dinner the rain hasn't stopped yet it seems."

Phoebus looks up from making arrows and notes the lass does clean up nicely in a homely sorta way. He prefers hot blooded reds but he nae seen any for awhile. He sighs.
"I wouldnae mind a good venison stew. I miss a good haggis but nae hae the oats to make any. There be fresh stew meat on the table me stew pot is over there." He points to it sitting in the corner."

Mayumi goes over to pick up the stew pot and goes about making dinner. This at least is familiar to her. She hopes that Pentium is his normal industrious self and finds himself some food.

Mayumi continues to cook and think he sings rather well she wonders what the song means should she ask him?
The stew seems to be almost ready. She pulls out 2 bowls from a shelf and laddles out some stew.
She brings the bowl over to Phoebus and sit across from him on his work table.

Phoebus looks up and stops singing and puts away the arrow he is working on. "Thank ye Ma'imi lass. The stew smells good."
The two eat in silence. Phoebus thinks this stew is betta than the one he normally makes. Mayhaps he should ask the lass how she made it.

After finishin his bowl he looks up and says, "Mai'mi lass tis a right good stew what d'ye put in it. I'd be wantin another bowl"
Mayumi blushes in slight embarassment. Goes to get another bowl of stew for Phoebus. She comes back and hands it to him.
"I-I added a bit of some of the vegetables you had lying around and a bit of the mushrooms you had too. I hope you didn't mind.

The food put Phoebus in a better mood. He smiles his best smile. "Now lass why wouldae dragon mind that you make him the best meal he hae in a long time." He winks back at her.

Mayumi not used to flirty male dragons doesn't know what to say. She continues to eat her bowl of soup and then thinks she should check on the egg.
All the events of the day can't have been good for her egg. She hopes the dracling would be ok.

After eating Phoebus picks up his bowl and goes to clean it. Mayumi goes to do likewise but he takes the bowl and cleans it for her himself.
"Thank you I could have cleaned it myself Phoebus."
"Tis nae problem lass I used ta bein by meself so I ken how to clean me own stuff. Tis gettin late if ye be wantin to rest ye can hae me bed. I be used to sleeping on the ground when I camp to hunt."
Reluctant to argue and figuring by his attitude it was best to just take the offer. "Thank you Phoebus it's a kind offer. I'm sorry to trouble you like this I'll be going home as soon as the egg hatches and not impose on your kindness more than necessary.

Mayumi picks up the basket containing the well wrapped egg and takes it to bed with her. She wants to keep as close and safe as possible. "Good night Phoebus thanks again"

Phoebus puts more blankets on the sleeping Mayumi and smiles at how protective the lass is of the egg. Such a shame her laddie up and left like that.
He pulls out some skins to sleep on the floor. Might as well, tis good to hae seen a new dragon, perhaps he be findin a lass from her clan. He nae thought about it but he be might lonely in these woods. On that thought he finally sleeps.

The next morning
Mayumi wakes up due to the eggs movement in her arms. She lets go of it and watches as the bundle shakes a bit to and fro on the bed.
Phoebus who was already awake eating a strange fruit for his early meal is alerted to the sound of movement in the lair. He goes to check on his guests. "Mai'mi lass are ye awake? I hae some fruit to eat if ye like."
