"you're not boring me. don't ever sy that." he said with a small laugh. "oh, so, how do you like Earth so far? Have you any memories of your past life on this earth? you don't have to force yourself, i was just wondering." he said softly as his voice drifted near the end of his sentance. He wondered about these 'Fallen' and if they ever get a second chance.

"Well, earth's definitely different." She murmured, staring out at the sky which was the only thing that looked familiar. "And I don't remember anything except seeing the sky from a completely different prospective and being able to fly... That, and coming here and making a pact with the Council."

"ah. what kind of Pact? if you don't mind me asking." Simon said to her. He wondered if the Council was strict and if the Pact was a bad thing or good thing to Sera. "does the sky look beautiful up there too? is the weather good?" He asked her. "It seems that up there is a good place." he said softly.

"If you are willing to never return to the Heavens again, no matter how horrifying the experiences on Earth, as well as lose the ability to fly, you are allowed to live on Earth for the rest of your life, however long or short that may be." Sera smiled. "It was beautiful up there, but very boring. There was nothing to do there, and no colors to see. Nothing changes, no matter how much you want it to." Sera took one of her fallen feathers and raised it to the light. "Here, there are changes (from what I've heard, anyways) and nothing stays the same, no?"

"i guess you can say that the world changes as time goes on." Simon said softly as he smiled. "the world turns as everyone seems to stay. the sun sets as the moon comes out and the moon leaves when morning is just begun." he said softly as he close his eyes and a soft smile on his face. It was a very lame poem off the top of his head that he randomly spoke out.

"Is that so?" Sera whispered, the sun slowly retreating towards the west. The sky was growing a beautiful pink, orange, and purple as time passed. "I've never seen anything like it!" Sera exclaimed, surprised.

Simon was surprised. "you've never seen the sun set?" he wondered if they even had night and day up there where Sera came from. She seemed a bit new to everything like a newborn mouse on his two legs, wondering what the world made for him to do and where the places he'll go to and the people he will meet. Simon smiled. "soon, the mon will come out! have you seen it before?" he asked her.

"The Moon? Oh, of course!" Sera pointed to her wings. "I'm one of the few that used to represent the Moon!" She smoothed out her wings before taking another of the feathers that had fallen. "Before one becomes Fallen, one must leave behind something precious to whatever that one may represent. In this case, I left my hope."

"Really? The moon is beautiful. no wonder you were to represent it." Simon said with a giggle. Her wings were so beautiful and glossy. "is there anyway to build up your hope again without breaking the pact with the council?" Simoned asked, engulfed in her stories about the council and everything to become one of the fallen.

Sera smiled slightly, her golden eyes orange in the light of the setting sun. "What is Hope, really? It is but a feeling. It is a feeling that some need to live, and yet some discard without thought." She stared up as a Full Moon at its perigee (closest distance to Earth) and the sun disappeared beyond the horizon.

"hope is ... uh... hope is when. um.." Simon studdered as he didn't know the real meaning of hope. "hope is..." he collected his thoughts. "is when someone feels that something dear to them will come..." he said as he closed his eyes. He pushed up his glasses with both paws as they slid down his nose.

"It's all a matter of opinion, though, no? Especially for such abstract things such as hope." Sera gave Simon a smile before speaking again. "All I remember is that hope isn't the purest feeling in the world. Hope links to desire, which also links to revenge and hatred." Sera yawned, growing tired as the night drew longer than expected. "Hatred is an impurity that the forbidden fruit released upon the world of science," she whispered, her eyelids growing heavy, "An impurity that has driven humans to an advanced world that has yet to destroy itself in the future." Sera spoke monotonously, for she was simply stating what she had read in an ancient book of history and its prophecies that could be found in Heaven's historical records. "Impurity..." Sera whispered, falling subtly into a deep sleep, which she had never experienced before, for there was no such thing as "sleep" in Heaven. Long post. O:

Simon thought of what Sera had said about Hope being an inpurity and how it could be related to hatred and stuff. "but..." He said as he looked over, just to see the sleeping angel. 'just great.' Simon thought with a sigh. But a smile grew on him. He took a paw and placed it on Sera's hair. It was light and soft.

Sera was still sitting up with her wings folded across her back, though her eyes were closed and her head tilted at an awkward angle. She was murmuring another theory from the ancient book in her sleep; Typical, really, since she always did love to read. The moon's light reflected off of her ghastly white fur and wings, which seemed to be bathed in its light.

Simon smiled at the sleeping angel. He placed his hand on her one shoulder and pushed her softly to make her lay on his shoulder. She might've gotten a neck cramp if she slept for long in that position. Simon didn't want her to be in Pain, even for a second. Sera was kind-hearted and nice, He couldn't let someone this heavenly fall ill to a neck cramp.
