1) How much do you believe that you influence the course of your life through your choices? I'm not a big believer in fate. I think that every choice you make affects your character and your future directly.
2) Do you feel that you have a good sense of the areas in your life that you can and can not change? Not really. I'm pretty ambitious but I have to say i'm more concered about bettering my life and the lives of people close to me moreso than the world.
3) Do you feel that you have been willing to pay the price for taking personal risks involved in choosing for yourself? Yes. Your choices affect your character and the person you are. Every risk you take will change you as well. If you take a risk and the outcome is bad, you made the concious decision and you will adapt to those consiquences.
4) Do you feel it is within your power to change even if others around you do not? Yes.
5) Do you believe that happiness and success are largely related to a sense of belonging and to social connectedness? I know I couldn't be truely happy if I didn't have a vast amount of love and support. But that could be just me.
6) Do you believe, at people's deepest core, they are good and can be trusted to move forward in a positive way? I dont really believe in good and evil. I think that people who constantly make bad decisions can only better themselves if they are taught how to correct those mistakes.

1) How much do you believe that you influence the course of your life through your choices? -I believe person changes something everytime he/she chooses between things. I also believe that we make our own path by choises.
2) Do you feel that you have a good sense of the areas in your life that you can and can not change? -Yeah, though even a small change is a change so I doupt there's many things either than death you canno't change.
3) Do you feel that you have been willing to pay the price for taking personal risks involved in choosing for yourself? -Yes, better to choose yourself than let some one to choose for you.
4) Do you feel it is within your power to change even if others around you do not? -It debends on what the change is. Yes I can change my self and things around me but I cannot change other people to my likings.
5) Do you believe that happiness and success are largely related to a sense of belonging and to social connectedness? -Social relationships are vital for humans. I rather be poor with tens of friends than lonely business woman with tens of millions.
6) Do you believe, at people's deepest core, they are good and can be trusted to move forward in a positive way? -Not all no. For example psycopaths aren't capable for kindness because of their illness.

1) How much do you believe that you influence the course of your life through your choices?
To put it simply, I'd say about 50%. Wierd answer -- but I certainly don't believe that fate dominates at all, I just don't believe in fate. Instead I believe some things can't change: it's very, VERY hard to make someone who is predisposed to dislike you like you, for example.
2) Do you feel that you have a good sense of the areas in your life that you can and can not change?
Hopefully not, but that's because I've been pessimistic lately. So at the moment -- actually no, not really.
3) Do you feel that you have been willing to pay the price for taking personal risks involved in choosing for yourself?
Yep. I've made quite a few mistakes, but that's how it works.
4) Do you feel it is within your power to change even if others around you do not?
Absolutely. I've changed and I'm changing. Hell, I don't even kill spiders anymore.
5) Do you believe that happiness and success are largely related to a sense of belonging and to social connectedness?
For me, they are; for others they may not be. I am (disappointingly) a very social creature and live on others' approval, which can get... very awkward, and as your typical outcast student life has been made very difficult recently.
6) Do you believe, at people's deepest core, they are good and can be trusted to move forward in a positive way?
Uhhh... no, to be honest, no, I don't. Wish it could be so.

1) How much do you believe that you influence the course of your life through your choices?
-I believe that I heavily influence the course of my life through the choices I make, since I'm awfully sure that almost all the important choices that I make are the right ones. But then again, that's just my opinion. Even though, I'm dedicated to lead my life towards the right direction.
2) Do you feel that you have a good sense of the areas in your life that you can and can not change?
-I can't say I have a good sense of the things I know I can change or cannot change, but the least I can say is that I'm aware of it when they come by me.
3) Do you feel that you have been willing to pay the price for taking personal risks involved in choosing for yourself?
-Of course! I know well that every decision I make has a consequence, and I'm ready for it each time they come my way.
4) Do you feel it is within your power to change even if others around you do not?
-I believe I have the power to change when I wish, but I rarely use this power for my own. At times, I think I am using it for my own good, but in truth, I use this power for the good of those around me. Others don't have direct power to change me, but what I think their opinions of me are gives them the power. However, if others do not change for me...I will still change for them, if they wish 3nodding .
5) Do you believe that happiness and success are largely related to a sense of belonging and to social connectedness?
-To me, happiness and success aren't directly related to my society nor to a sense of belonging. To me, happiness is just something that makes me feel comfortable with what I have and success is just a reward that doesn't affect anyone else but myself. I don't need to feel like I belong to be happy; I can be happy on my own. And if other's can't celebrate my successes with me, I can celebrate it on my own, also 3nodding .
6) Do you believe, at people's deepest core, they are good and can be trusted to move forward in a positive way?
-Yes, I believe that every person can be trusted deep down and positively move forward with everyone else. The only thing that blocks this is modern society (take a look at my poem at the Poetry Contest thread for a further look about what I mean whee ).

1) How much do you believe that you influence the course of your life through your choices?
- Every single choice we make has an influence on our lives. If we make poor and/or irresponsible decisions, we will not have a fulfilling life. If on the other hand we live our lives in a responsible manner, behaving with compassion and kindness towards others, we will receive the direct reaction to those choices. So yes, I believe one hundred percent that our choices effect the entire course of our lives.
2) Do you feel that you have a good sense of the areas in your life that you can and can not change?
- Yes, although the areas in my life that I cannot change are perhaps only those that are genetic. All of my circumstances however are subject to change, whether it be positive or negative.
3) Do you feel that you have been willing to pay the price for taking personal risks involved in choosing for yourself?
- Of course. I dont think anyone has a right to believe otherwise. We have the ability to think and decide for ourselves which choices we will make in life, and we have the right to benefit freely from those choices, however, we must also be willing to take on the negative repercussions of those actions.
4) Do you feel it is within your power to change even if others around you do not?
- Yes. It would be my responsibility to change if I saw a better way of doing things. Change in a group starts with change in an individual.
5) Do you believe that happiness and success are largely related to a sense of belonging and to social connectedness?
- No. One can fully determine his own happiness and success himself without the need to gauge it against others. For some people social interaction will bring about furthered happiness, or rather feelings of contentment, but this alone does not determine one's sense of true happiness.
6) Do you believe, at people's deepest core, they are good and can be trusted to move forward in a positive way?
- I dont believe in an inherent nature of humanity. People are as they are. Some, through a mixture of genetics and upbringing, form very bitter and negative personalities, and can be counted on to do what is generally considered as "bad," whereas others, for the same reasons, can be counted on to do what is considered "good."
