"hmmm" sarah said thoughtfully, "I guess it depends on what you want to do, like if you wanted to do dressage I would recommend rose, but If you wanted to just have a good run I would say cloud"

Lydia thought of the excitement of shows, and her eyes sparkled as she imagined winning ribbons on a graceful dressage horse. "Can I ride Rose now?" she asked, still envisioning the colorful ribbons flapping from her horse's bridle.

"sure" Sarah said surprised at the quickness of her decision. "I'll go put your name on her leasing list, do you need help tacking up?" she started to walk out of the stallions barn and to the mares barn.

"I can do it." Lydia smiled and went to grab a halter to bring Rose to the cross ties.
That's Cloud... Lydia thought as she walked into the barn, then turned around. Here's Rose! She slid into the stall and buckled the halter behind the mare's silvery ears. Clicking the lead rope into place, she led the horse-soon to be her horse?-to the cross ties, whispering sweetly to her.

"ok" Sarah said and headed back into the barn. "hey Kelsea!" she said when she turned around and saw her friend "didn't see you come in. hey I'm about to go practice on the track with rebel, wana come?" she said as she grabbed rebels tack and saddle from the tack room.

Lydia took a currycomb to Rose's coat, rubbing in circles. The mare seemed to enjoy her grooming. "Yes, you're going to be good to me, aren't you girl? I'm going to love you and I'll lease you and I'll have a horse of my own to ride whenever I want." Lydia whispered in the horse's ear, standing on tiptoe to reach under Rose's mane.

"No thanks sarah i think i am going to get Spirit ready for the jump off tomorrow" said Kelsea to Sarah. " maybe later i will bring him out onto the track if you want to come."

"O yea I forgot that was tomorrow!, I'll see you there auntie made me be the check in lady" Sarah said as she walked into Rebel's stall and tacked him up "ok sure I'll see you later,I'll be on the track for a while" Then Sarah lead Rebel out of the stall and started walking to the Race Track.

"k by!" Sarah said over her shoulder and waved. About ten minutes later she reached the track, she mounted rebel "ready for a warm up?" she asked him "trout".

Once Kelsea got to the arena she set up the jumps at 3'2. then she mounted Spirit, and asked him to canter. Spirit was doing good until a rabbit jumped out of a bush and spooked him. Kelsea tryed to control him but he wouldnt stop rearing. Then he bucked and Kelsea fell off.

one eighth of a mile down the track Sarah asked rebel for a canter. In the distance she heard a neigh she wondered at it but ignored it, she was in racing mode now and didn't want to be disturbed.
