I can take some yaoi but not much sweatdrop
Yeah, some cross overs aren't so bad, FF9 and Sm would be hard to do 0o.... Zipora's Gundam one seemed good though.

I loved my gundam story; it was my first popular one (I had some other stories up but they got kicked off for one reason or another...) I'm having a massive writers block when it comes to the sequel though...it's a pain in the a$$ to do.
As for the FF9 SM cross, nah, it's not too hard, you just have to work some things around. I'm actually having fun doing the connections and whatnot to it and a lot of people seem to like it. Last I checked it had over 3000 hits 3nodding

lol that'd be interesting, but I find it's a different level of skill to write a fanfic than original work. Sure in original you have to think up the characters and plot from scratch, but in fanfics you have to do your best to keep characters in character when you really don't want them to be, and if you have them ooc, you have to have a legit reason for doing so, then you have to keep the storylines in order. And if you have a crossover, that's double the storylines and characters you have to keep up the personalities, then merge them in a way that pleases both yourself, the storyline, and the readers, becasue heaven only knows that those readers can be EVIL if you mess up on a characters personality sweatdrop I've already gotten a review from a person who actually loves the story saying she was not pleased that status effects work on Usagi... sweatdrop

Yeah, that's why I don't do those, I rarely like all the main characters from two coherent stories. I can't really get into anime stories so much, other than DeathNote. That's probably the only thing I could do a crossover with InuYasha or something like that... xd But even that would be annoying becasue I don't care for Kagome sweatdrop

Well, bashing a character isn't that bad as long as you pre-warn the readers. I bash relena in Fate Sucks and I only got one complaint from it because the only thing I did was overdramatize the characteristic I didn't like about her and worked from there.

Yeah, I'd probably resort to going Jack Bower and writing the people like that off xd I"m having too much fun in my highschool thing for the time being at the expense of Asaiyo and Zipora, maybe I"ll try that eventually.

Yeah, but just writing off the characters you don't like is something you don't want to do...it just ticks people off if you just randomly kill off someone or pretend they don't exist without a reason other than "you just don't like them" to back it up. writing a decent fanfic, especially when you merge a game and an anime show, actually takes a lot of time to do. I have to go back and check monster stats constantly, not to mention the world map. And then when you have the anime part added in, you have to decide whether you want this or that to happen, and since certain things can even affect uber strong people, can they affect the anime character entering the environment? And then you have to remember what you decided and stick with it...it's a challenge sweatdrop

xd That's why I don't bother with it, I don't love stories enough to deal with all that most the time

There are certain stories that I love enough to do that. this fanfic is one of them. I did the same thing with my gundam wing fanfic...I can't tell you how many times I would go back and reread the comics and watch the series to make sure I got the personalities and storyline right.

Yeah, the problem for me is, in most animes there's not actually that much personality to worry about getting right sweatdrop

erm...actually they all have a bit of personality to them; you have to catch onto it though so that you know "this is here and I have to at least hint at it to get this character right"

Yeah but it's only little bitty hints here and there, enough to give guidelines but not much to give their complete rational for their actions like stuff we got to read in Mrs. Barr's litt.

Its fun writing fanfics, you get to mess around with things and bash characters you don't like! Every character has personality, but those really random fics where nothing's right and they tons of random stuff, are so fun! But I hate the illiterate people! I read a fic with "aishiteru u 2".......There is something wrong there......
