When and how did you realise you were a furry?:
Just cruising around the net for artwork to look at and it seemed interesting then after awhile i got addicted to it and after many drawings i did I realised I was and so on...
How do u cope with being different to all your friends and family?:
Heh mostly my friends and family dont even know what it means even though i tell them from time to time of what i draw and etc. heh i cant believe they dont even know what it even means xd
How did you choose your fursona?:
Well its like how i realised i was a furry it was after many drawings i noticed that i was really good at drawing feline characters so i got it from doing that...

When and How did you realise you were a furry?
I realised it when I actually looked into the furry fandom for the first time. Of course I'd heard about it before, but I'd never actually learned about it or spoken to any furs. The only perspective I'd gotten on it was from some friends of mine who like to joke around about it, usually in a kind of negative way. After I actually read about it and thought about it, though... Well, there was only one reasonable conclusion. : P
How do you cope with being different to all your friends and family?
So different? We're not so different at all. At the very least, I would say we're far, far more alike than different. And if anything really does make it hard for me to relate, it's not my furry-ness. blaugh
In general, though, I just don't talk about it much. I think all my friends knew I was a furry before I did, to be honest. None of them really judge me on it or seem to care much. As for outside people, well, a lot of them tell me I'm very cat-like and almost all of them seem to find me rather odd, but they don't give me any flak either. When it comes to my family... They don't know, but nor do they really need to. My mom encourages my cat ears, tails, paws, collars - whatever, really - and my dad just doesn't care much. I think he would be more bothered if I made it super-clear to him, but why bother? I don't feel as though I'm hiding here. :3
How did you choose your fursona? When did it come to you?
I still don't really feel like I chose my fursona. It was more or less an accident that I stumbled upon it. I was drawing in English class, and one of the things I came up with was an anthropomorphic cat. I thought it was a pretty neat picture, so I went home and colored it in with GIMP. Somewhere along the way I got it in my head that he was a Cheshire Cat, so he ended up with some rather interesting stripes. After I was done, it just kind of hit me that this was my fursona - I was a Cheshire Cat.
As for why the Cheshire Cat, mmm, you'd probably have to know me a little better to see why it fits. In brief, though, it's because they're loquacious, intelligent, confusing, ethereal, a little bit batty and they remain rather untouched by the negative. Of course, they're cat-like as well, which also suits me. In the end, I find the Cheshire Cat to be the best representation of my personality as a whole.

Alex_the_anthro My family has no idea that I am a furry, one of my friends know and another one of my friends as I just found out is a beggining fursecutioner sad I'm pretty much in the same boat as Alex (although I'll actually answer all the questions) 1. I realised i was a furry around age 14 I don't even remember how...although i think it might have had somthing to do with Digimon 2. My parents don't know about my furriness. I have only one real life friend who is a furry (^ Its Alex_the_Anthro 3nodding ) and i have a friend who as Alex put it is a "fursecutioner" (glad he doesn't know im a fur... wonder if he knows about Alex?) 3. As for my fursona it came pretty easily. A furry site (when i first started declaring myself furry) asked for a fursona in the profile so I created it. I always had a like for foxes, so i started as a regular anthro fox. Then i found out about cub furs/Baby furs and found out how much fun it was to rp as a kid (way more fun than being a grown up fur), so i altered my fursona to be a kit.

I've pretty much been a fur since I was a child. I didn't really have a name for it until high school. My parents kind of get it but, the rest of the non-immediate family does not though. My parents would prefer that I keep this little aspect of my life to just the people who know me best and are closest. At times I can see why.... But for the most part I am quite open and often quite confusing to some mundanes who see me wearing my collar with bell, pet tag and if I feel like it, some other clothing that "marks" me as a Furry. I consider my primary fursona to be that of a African Lion. (I am prone to acting close to several other cat species though). I've always been somewhat cat -like. I was even born in the Chinese Year of the Tiger ('86). heart 4laugh

I don't think I can call myself a furry, but I'll let you guys explain it better first. I don't have a clear definition, and there's a lot of different ones out there. I do have some fun stories though.
I started RPing an anthro character long before I'd even heard of the word furry (as a noun at least). Kind of weird, seeing as most people there used human characters. It's my oldest favorite one, a little bunny. I've used a couple bunnies. They go well with my gentle nature. One interesting thing about that, is that I used to think that my zodiac was the Dragon. Buuuut... it turns out, if you use the chinese year, it'd make me a rabbit. Does it mean anything, I don't know.
I went from that to RPing a wolf a little while, then I found Furcadia and hung there for a while.
