Jack was just walking around in Littleroot town. then he went to Route 101 in the tall grass when suddenly he encounters an Umberon. Jack throws a pokeball that contains Glaceon. "Go! Glaceon!" He summons Glaceon as she comes out. Umbreon uses Iron Tail and hits Glaceon. "Quick Glaceon! Use Ice Beam!" Glaceon opens her mouth and releases a blast of ice "Glaceeeeeooooonnnn!" It freezes Umbreon. "There's my chance! Get'em Pokeball!" Jack throws a pokeball and catches Umbreon. The pokeball lands on the ground and sways left and right until finally it stops and makes a "beep" sound. Jack picks up the pokeball and says "Glaceon, we caught and Umbreon. You did a great job. I'll name this Umbreon, Moonlight. Come on out, Moonlight." Umbreon appears but is still frozen. Jack kicks the ice hard and breaks Moonlight free. "Umbreon!"
"Your welcome. Your new name is Moonlight, got it?" Moonlight nodded. "Return Glaceon, Return Moonlight." The light hit Glaceon and reuturned to her pokeball, but Moonlight avoid the light. "Umbreon..." He seemed he didn't want to return to its pokeball. Moonlight got my pokedex out of Jack's bag and pushed the button on the pokedex with his tail. "Sometimes pokemon caught in a pokeball don't like to be inside the pokeball. Instead, some pokemon stay out of it's pokeball."
"Alright, you may stay out of the pokeball, Moonlight." He walked with Moonlight back into Littleroot Town for a break.

Kate walked through a small forest, not sure where exactly she was. She took her map out and saw that she was approaching Littleroot town. Alongside her, her only pokemon trotted along, Charmander. Charmander and Kate had built such a strong bond that Kate didn't want to put Charmander in his pokeball. The only occasion which she would make him is when they're in danger and he's been injured. Kate found herself wishing she had a human companion to talk with, but for now, she was content with the company of her Charmander.

Jack heard foot steps from behind. He turned around to see who it was. "Well... I've seen you before." He remembered that girl from the Kanto and Jhoto Leagues on TV. "You are Kate, right? My name is Jack from Twinleaf Town."

Kate was surprised to see another trainer, but she was happy to make an aquaintance. "Ya, that's right, I'm Kate, and this is my charmander." she gestured to charmander. "You look pretty familiar too, where have i seen you before? Hmmm...well, I can't really recall, so what's your name? And where're you headed?"

"That's a very nice Umbreon. Hey moonlight." She said as she bent down to pet him. "Well, as you could probably guess, I'm more into tournaments, I need the poke ((that's the money right?)) for my family, cause my dad's not feeling the greatest, we need to keep buying medication and it's pretty expensive. I do enjoy this though, I challenge myself and charmander, since he's the only pokemon I really focus on training."

"Alright lets go!" He walked to the lab and entered. He suddenly saw Prof. Birch. "Hello, Professor Birch!"
"Well hello there, and who are you?"
My name is Jack, I come from Twinleaf, Sinnoh and this is Kate. I'm interested in your research, and I would like to see info on pokemon in this region."
"I don't really have that much info on pokemon in this pokedex. Will it be alright if you do it for me?"
"Gladly!"
"Well here is a-"
"I already have one."
"Oh, then let me add the Hoenn dex program."
Prof. Birch did a few things with the pokemon dex and handed back to Jack.
"Kate, would you like to use this Hoenn Pokedex?" Prof. Birch asked.
