ack! I'm having issues with my new position as goalie. I've never played goalie.. I'm used to defensive hole.
Anyone have any tips on playing goalie?

We play water polo sometimes as a game day during swim practice.

honey_and_venom ack! I'm having issues with my new position as goalie. I've never played goalie.. I'm used to defensive hole. Anyone have any tips on playing goalie? when ever you practice, keep your sholders above the water at all times that way you get used to being in the "set" position, then you block a ball, dont just stick your arms at it but literaly jump out of the water and move foward so you are like diving at the ball almost

we dont have a water polo team, but the swimmers play it after the season --seinors and coachs vs. all-- it is awsome, and our one coach, is more vicious then we are (and trust me, thats is vicious lol) sometmes we play after practice, but the coaches dont play, but it is sooo much fun i love it

I play hole Guard and point, I was goalie last year but a real jerk took it from me, and he makes fun of me for it. people suck crying

This year was my first year of playing H20 polo, and I loved it so much. I was usually on wing or somewhere. Our coach isn't very good at starting a new team... I still don't know a lot of what exactly I'm supposed to do in what sistuation, but that's the only complaint I have. I love the sport, it rocks so much. ^_^

hahha....balls to play waterpolo....It's so true!...Literally!
I just played water polo for the first time since our conference finals, I can't wait for next week. There's a "scrimmage" group that gets together to just play every saturday until the spring league starts up. It's my favorite part of water polo. We go and warm-up for 20 mintues, then scrimmage for an hour and 10 minutes....straight! It's so much fun! heart

i like to swim more but yea i play polo, I was the goalie but i kinda suck alot at it bc my reflexes suck but when coach found a replacement i went to the wing and sprinted andim pretty good at that cause i still have a strong arm to cross the pool
