Gleaming Glasses
Mitsu was glued to the computer's monitor today, just like every other day for at least a few hours reading some text and posting here and there. Kiyo the one in our little family hadn't known that yet, but he sure was going to find out rather soon.
"Mom!" Kiyo shouted throwing a tennis ball up and down with one ear. "Let's go play tennis!" There was no response. Click. Clack. Click. Clack. Went the keyboard as she furiously typed away, her eyes solely focused on the monitor in front of her. "Mom!" Kiyo shouted once more, trying his best to grab the girl's attention. And just for a second he did. She turned around, her thick-rimmed, slightly oval shaped glasses catching a bit of light as they flashed white. "Not now Kiyo," she said in a low tone before retuning to her keyboard.
Haku shook her head. Long ago she had learned to leave her crazy mother alone when her glasses gleamed like that. "C'mon Kiyo, we shouldn't bug mom right now. She'll get all crazy if we do," Haku explained trying to drag her brother away. The last time she had insisted on bugging Mitsu while she was in that state she had suffered from a death glare and Mitsu refused to bend to any of her whims. It lasted for about a week, but it was a week that she'd never forget. The boredom could have killed her.
But Kiyo was stubborn, there was no way that his luck would fail him now. He aimed at the back of Mitsu head carefully. "Be quite Haku!" he said as she attempted to stop him from throwing the yellow-green tennis ball. It was a hopeless cause though as Kiyo let the ball flying though the air anyhow. There was a loud crash and some static sounds.
Mitsu lifted her head from the now broken computer monitor. Smoke lifted from the now destroyed monitor and her silky black hair was now frizzy and a complete mess. She looked up and over at Kiyo, her glasses gleaming...
