"I heard something, but aren't cats better at hearing?" Kari asked, standing up and cautiously going over to him with her hands on the hilts of her swords out of instinct and habbit. "Who are you anyway, and why're you out here?" she asked, distrust somewhat evident on her face.

"If I must tell you, I'm a seaman, shipwrecked from the course," he said. "There's a town not too far off, but not too much a warm welcome did I get from there. I thought the creatures of the forest would be more hospitable by far."

"Does anyone even live here other than outlaws?" she asked.
Aki watched the other man come back and slipped up behind him, putting her sword as his neck. "Don't move or say a word." she murmured, taking his bow from his hand and the weapons from their sheaths and dropping them to the ground, though the sword never moved.

"What's- Robin!" Kari started, starting to turn around.
"Robin? A shame, I caught a bird instead of a man." Aki smirked, feeling him tense up. She looked to Izen, silently telling him to keep the girl where she was.

"I'll admit I wonder what's going on," he said, "although moreso what I ought to do in this situation. I can fight three at once, but not with so much alacrity on dry land. Then again I know nothing of the present situation. Although I can say your bird's in trouble."

"You're on your own, it's your own fault." Kari told him with a sigh, sitting down where she was and watching Robin and Aki.
Robin spat something in elven, causing Aki only to grin. "Thank you, you're so kind." she smirked, though from his expression it hadn't been a compliment. He muttered something and she nodded. "Fine bird-boy, but good luck." she agreed, sliding her foot under the blade of his sword and kicking it up, catching it and handing it to him as she pushed him away from her and moved her sword to her side.
He attacked her, and within ten minutes he was on his back with her sword on his throat. A flicker of recognition passed across her face and she smiled. "This seem familiar, Love?" she asked quietly with a sad smile.
"Aki?" he asked to which she stepped away from him.

Izen jumped up onto a tree branch and remained seated there to watch. This occurrence was somewhat fortuitous for him, at least, and he could introduce himself properly when they finished.

"But- you were dead." he started as he got up. "No. You left for the war and left us here to be ruled by the b*****d who's the sheriff. He wanted me and now wants me dead. What'd he tell you when you asked? You mean that maid I was after who turned me down and I sentenced to death? He would've said I had died in some raid or had truly done something worth death." she spat.

"Apparently just as inhospitable to others as me," Izen muttered to himself, swinging his tail sort of like a monkey in the tree.

"Aki-" he started, sighing as she ignored him.
She turned to Kari with a faint smirk. "A cat chasing after a bird, so traditional." she murmured, Kari hearing and glaring at her.

"Oh so sorry for excluding you." Aki sighed, walking off and dissapearing into the trees.
"Was she always like that?" Kari asked Robin, who sighed and nodded.
