Chaotic Souls
Theres one thing that I noticed isn't discussed in this censorship topic. Three, technically four, Very different forms of "Art/Photography" which seems to be rather messed up on an art site I'm on.
First off, I'm fine with seeing Nude pictures on the Anatonomy section because it is what it is, the form and structure of the human body, most of the joints are usualy blocked which make it harder for some artists to figure out just how the body bends.
Then theres your basic artowork that has naked bodies that show or don't show the various reproductive organs. Then again thats what the Mature content filter is for.
Then we get into the more serious stuff.
Artistic Nude, to me (and just to me for now), I think of artistic nude as not some of those silly fetish poses and pictures that are strewn across the dA favorites pages, but ones that have a nude body and then reveal/block it in an artistic way. This is one such example, as you can tell its a naked male form but its displayed in a very artistic way.
After that, you just have your normalpornogrophy and people just posting naked pictures of themself in the Artistic nude section when I, and several of my friends, think its just the "artists" way of getting attention, most of which with the female body. If you skim dA, you will find some of the most disgusting things on there, one of which was inflation which I hardly find artistic.
I know art is withen the eys of the beholder, but Deviantart needs to open its Male-mod eyes and see that they are a bunch of sexist..mods that think artistic nude, real artistic nude is not just for females.

I also have a deviantART account so I know precicely what you're talking about. But I'm constantly frustrated with what some of the idiots post there so I could rant for a rather long time.
I don't really have much to add here because I agree with everything you say.
