"Kay, Lantis, ready for another go?" Chloe asked the Latios, who nodded, hovering over the tiled floor, staring down the Voltorb that had rolled out from behind a pile of crates.
"Alright, use Earthquake again to start off," Chloe smiled, knowing that the ground move would drastically weaken the Voltorb.
Lantis nodded, obeying orders as he slammed into the ground, creating a trembling shockwave that blasted into the Voltorb.
The Pokeball-like orb buzzed, definitely not pleased. It released a Spark, zapping Lantis, who growled low, fighting through the trembling currents that sparked through him.
"Alright, finish it off with Dragonbreath!" Chloe called. Lantis was all-too eager to comply, sending a blast of fire at the Voltorb, effectively putting it out of commission.

The two continued their exploration, seeking out the TM that would bestow Lantis with another move that would definitely come in handy in their travels.

Chloe yawned as she dug through an old crate of supplies. Nothing that looked like a TM, although there were some interesting items in there. There were a few broken Potion bottles, which looked to be many years old. There were also a few magazines, mostly manuals for the equipment that occupied the place, which Chloe knew she had no hope of ever understanding...

Giving up on the crate, Chloe and Lantis made their way through the hallways, searching for another room. Chloe found herself humming to herself as she searched, and was more than tickled to find Lantis joining in with his own version of singing. Laughing, the two found another storage closet, deciding to give it a try.
Pulling on the handle revealed it to be locked. Chloe looked to Lantis, before rummaging in her bag.
"Just don't tell the others," she whispered conspiratorially with a wink, pulling out a lockpick.
After a few minutes of struggling with the old lock on the door, Chloe heard a promising click, and tried tugging on the handle once again. This time it gave with a dusty creak.

"Lantis, you know what to do, right?" Chloe asked. The Latios laughed, darting forward with a sudden burst of speed, releasing another Earthquake that nearly swallowed the Voltorb.
The angry ball of electrical energy tried to zap Lantis with a Spark, however, it soon found out that the dragon's resistance to electricity was nothing to sneeze at.
A Psywave finished the job, as Lantis hovered back over to Chloe's side with a smile.

Chloe grinned, "That was great, Lanti-" she paused, hearing a familiar voice. Rushing over to the side of the catwalk, Chloe peered down, spotting Train.
"Hey!" she greeted with a wave, "Up here!" she called. She turned to Lantis, "Think you can give me a quick ride down?"
Lantis shrugged, he had no objections. So Chloe hopped on the Latios' back, the two descending to the lower level of the power plant, to Train's side.
"Hey! Good to see you again!" Chloe grinned as she hopped off of Lantis, who paused, spotting something on the floor.
