Usually my friends -- who are also writers, though not quite as prolific as me, and I believe their work to be better in any case -- are the ones looking over my work. But we're all so busy with senior year that nobody has time to read the thousands of words that I write during inspiration bursts. If I've got time and inspiration, I can write a novel in two weeks. That makes it kind of hard for my friends to keep up after a vacation.

Also, nobody's read any of my novel work since... November? At the latest, I think, it was November. After NaNoWriMo, nobody read anything.

Anyway, don't worry about not having written a novel yet. I'm probably rushing too much through it all and depleting my creativity. ...Knock on wood. If that ever happens, I'll cry.

Ahhh, I'm tired! I woke up early to go to an AP study session this morning, and wrote the worst essay ever for The Great Gatsby this morning as a forty-minute timed write, and I feel icky because of it. Maybe I can try writing now. I have a little time before dinner.

Have a nice day!

I guess I can understand the sheer amounr that keeps your friends from reading. when i told my sis how long the story was i wanted her to edit she got a little overwhelmed.

Moya: Wow, even I can't write that much! If I'm lucky, I'll get about five pages a week.... It's because I'm rarely home. I really wish I had a chance to write more! And I'd love to read your writing, even if it takes me years. mrgreen

Writingpen: How long is your story? mrgreen

It's frustrating to have the inspiration come and go, though. During the week of Spring Break, I had an inspiration burst, and nearly finished my sixth book. Unfortunately, the last two days of the break, it went away, and I got burned out from trying to plow through it. I got fifteen thousand words into the story, though, and got halfway through the story line. It was supposed to be a really short novel, just finishing off the story of a minor character that had been left dangling. My goal was fifteen thousand words. sweatdrop The story took off on its own.

My fourth book was written in two weeks, though, at the end of last summer break. I write short novels, though, because they take place during short realms of time, and I only write until the story's purpose is done with. Twenty thousand words is my average. I wrote the full NaNo novel, though, so I can a longer story if I want. I just have to balance
three time lines to do it.

Since my novels are so short, it's really not that impressive. Still, I'm pretty proud to have written a quarter of a million words (not including most of my stuff on fanfiction.net) in the last four years. 3nodding Freshman year is when I fell in love with writing.

Anyway! If you'd like to read my books... Well, after you've read my first one, my second one should be out some time this summer. All my books are already copywrited in my name, so there's no problem in sharing the ones after that if you're still interested.

...Am I procrastinating? I think I am. Sorry for rambling again!

Have a nice day!

biggrin Thanks for the concern, Toro. I've always had issues with getting myself into stressful situations and not being able to deal well with it until the very last moment. Then I use up all my panic in the months preceding whatever it is I'm dreading, or during the hours that I'm working through homework. But I've only had two or three nervous breakdowns since sixth grade, so I think I'll be okay.

Thank you, though. 3nodding I might use that link later. I really appreciate the gesture.

Have a nice day!

You're welcome. ^_^

Toro has trouble with stress as well. I tend to try to plan out every little thing in my head. Then people pile more things on my, and everything gets jumbled. Then I walk into a wall. O_O

eek Toro, you're a genius.

Yep, such a genius that I spazz out and tear apart the house for my glasses when I have them on top of my head. -_-

Well, if I had glasses, I'd rather do that than get writer's block! mrgreen

...True, but then my brother always sees and makes fun of me for a week. -_-
And by the time a week's up, I do it again.

I do that with everything.
