You know that's a good point but what really makes me believe he's not actually dead is the fact that J.K.R. said on her website in the rumors section that in fact Dumbledore is dead and will remain dead but never mentions Sirius... you see if people are suggesting that Dumbledore isn't dead and she feels the need to say he isn't, what exactly is stopping her from saying for certain that Sirius is dead unless he actually isn't?
If he comes back in the next book, I may just die of happiness (but not exactly surprise.)

First off, Kilope, the quote in your sig made me laugh. xd
That's a good point too. 3nodding Although there's still the portrait of Dumbledore in the headmaster's office that can talk to them...but he is dead. He was killed by the curse. sweatdrop The way Sirius died was different though...y'know...falling through a veil...maybe they will retrieve him. xd
I'm sure, also, that Harry's parents are dead for good as well. It'd be nice if they weren't...but they were killed by a curse so I'm sure they are. sweatdrop

But my point is that J.R. has been avidly trying to crush any rumors that Dumbledore may find a way to come back (which I admit is really dumb) but she won't address anything regarding Sirius.

But Sirius...it seems rather likely. 3nodding I guess people just thought Dumbledore was such a major character that he couldn't just die. Maybe? I don't know... Unlike many people I wasn't exactly heartbroken when he died... it just seemed like it was his time to me. Oh well. You know I think I'm much more willing to hope/believe that Sirius will come back simply because I hate the Remus/Tonks couple... xp

I wasn't heart-broken when Dumbledore died either...I was more like:

I kind of want Voldemort to use some crazy Dark magic to bring Sirius back from the dead so he can use him against Harry... then Sirius could kind of just... come back to his senses on his own and get his revenge on Bella...
but hey, that's just me :]

For me I already knew about Dumbledore's demise...a friend wrote a highlighted spoiler on Gaia and I read it. ^_^ I dunno why...it ruined the whole book for me. Now I wish I'd refrained from highlighting the white text. xp
But see...Dumbledore's like what...80 something? 90 something? He's lived a good long life. Plus, there's still his portrait that everyone can talk to. ^_^ And I think he knew it was coming too...I honestly don't think Snape just got up and decided to kill Dumbledore on his own... ninja But that's just me. I'll talk more about that in the thread with the notes I write from my books.
Sirius however...he'd been living in captivity for twelve years, and hiding in the next two, prior to his death. And the fact that he's Harry's favorite person practically, it's horrible. crying

What's really messed up and sad is that after he "died," the Ministry found all the evidence they needed to prove he was innocent. gonk
