stressed Don't you really hate it when you finally find a really good fanfic -
and it completely stops? No ending. No nothing. And the author has disappeared off the face of the internet. So irritating.

My way of finding the good stuff on Fanfiction.net is to set the word lengh very high. If the author is willing to write a lot, It's probable good (At least grammerically).

I've decided to write two more fics for Yu Yu Hakusho. The first is going to take place during the Dark Tournament like my last one, and the second fic will be right before the Makai Tournament in the last season of the show. I have a couple paragraphs done for my first story now, but I haven't done anything for the second.

Yes, I hate thyat so much!! I also hate long updaters. Where they only update, like, once a year! Of course I do that. But I'm bad and no one reads my stuff anyway. I actually haven't read fanfics in a long time, the amount of bad stuff scares my now. Yu Yu Hakusho Fanfics are my favorite. If anyone likes YYH fics, check out Mission X by Kurome Shiretsu. (Not sure if I spelled her name right. Sorry. sweatdrop ) Karinas Fairgrass stressed Don't you really hate it when you finally find a really good fanfic -

I really only read read Harry Potter fanfiction, and sometimes Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
For Harry Potter I only read Remus/Sirius fic, and only stuff that I see someone recommend. The only on-going fic I follow is The Shoebox Project, which is brilliant, the fandom-within-the-fandom that it has created is a testament to that. I recommend it to everyone, even if they aren't a fan of Remus/Sirius because it's extremely well-written and considered by many to be the definitive Marauder-era fanfic (and there are only hints of R/S until very far into it, and by that time people are usually addicted to it. ;3).
As for Tsubasa, I only read Kurogane/Fai fic, and only very rarely. When I do I find it on Livejournal. I haven't read any that have been outstanding, and there are no series I've been following.

I've read some reallly good fanfiction, but then there's always the absolute drivel that rots your brain. I'll go through fanfic phases. A few years ago I would obsess over phantom fics, recently it's been stargate and harry potter, and now it's kingdom hearts II. Of course if any fanfic looks good I"ll read it. What I absolutely hate is when they completely change the character or make their motivations so simplistic as to ruin my perception of them.

Personally, even though I've a few poems and a couple fics posted there, I don't like fanfiction.net all that much. Though there are a few authors I like quite a bit there such as HColleen (which is not self promotion because I go by the same name there as I do here) who writes great YYH fics.
I also go to mediaminer.org and adultfanfiction.net though the later is stil not back up completely after the entire switching servers thing so you have to go to the read only archive for a lot of the fics.
My fics aren't all that good and as such I get few reviews. Fot those who look my fics up and have an allergy to Mary Sues avoind First Prophecy Unveiled like the black plague. The only reason it's still up is cause I promised a friend that I'd eventually turn it into a trilogy.
