John Michael Curlovich, Anne Rice, Margret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Christopher Paolini....
Er, I read more fanfiction than I do actual books? ^^;

Hey, I like fanfiction myself!

Which of Weis and Hickman's things have you read? Have you read their Death Gate Cycle yet? I still need to read Rose of the Prophet and others.

I think LGBT literature is normally defined as literature with a main focus on lesbian, bisexual, gay or transexual characters, and also literature written by a LGBT author, though that means that often stuff they have written that doesn't have a focus on LGBT characters gets included.

Pah! To normal definitions! twisted
Just started a thread to hopefully shake that up a bit.

All time favourite author- Robin Hobb. No question about it. I still have a crush on The Fool (and his aliases). An it's been years since I first started on the Farseer trilogy...^^

Lynn Flewelling
: Because she is the first approachable author I've encountered. She actually posts snippets of her next Nightrunner book. And she has an LJ. And she posts fanart on her homepage. <3 Me like. ^^ I'll admit, I only read the Nightrunner series a week ago or so, but...her way of writing really stuck.

Terry Brooks: Most original take on magic and elves and end of the wrold I've encountered. Started reading his books eight years ago, and he's still writing new books for me to entertain myself with. Shannara!

Raymond Feist
: Mara of the Acoma, anyone? Who didn't have a crush on her? wink

Katharine Kerr
: Can't forget her, can I? Salamander. Jill. Nevyn. Rhodory. Dragons. Elves. Sliver daggers. ^^ Her books...they are a great, epic adventure that span over centuries and they are still not long-winded or boring. And all your favourite characters are still there. Through it all. In different shapes with different names, but still there. ^^

Okay, so only Lynn Flewelling actually has gay characters. Robin Hobb has mentions and innuendos, though. And cross-dressing. Unless that character really was unisexual...

(Insert really long list of authors here.)

Well, that's it, I guess. ^^;
