All they need to do is the text changes, if they change the old cards or rules they will loose old players, and they cant do that. Its not going to change

I dunno. . .I think the art is going to be toned down quality wise if they don't have the original artists. Especially considering that it's WB and shows on WB tend to suck and/or have the tone of an after school special. Don't get me wrong though, I'm looking forward to it too. 3nodding (Then I can sucker all my friends into it and create a fan base here)

Its not going to change well there is hardly any of those left after 5 years since a expanion... plus anyone sucked into the game to last this long will still play any game they throw out that even looks similar to the old game. After all company is a business, and Business is all about making money... Something 2i didn't do so well in the past but won't repeat again...

rebirth_angel Fosfur thats why I think they'll have to reinvent the game in a new form, you can't say well we've had problems were back after 5 years and start cranking out TR cards... Game needs a total reset to make a come back, it needs to be new a fresh for new people... So I say get ready for a base set, if they're smart they'll slowly allow original cards to come back but very slowly... In other words...no anime pictures? no I mean like new card border design and backs that make the game seem new or upgraded from the game that flee off the map... The Companies real customers is the small shop owners that take the risk of investing into Card games. Cause if they don't sell they have to lose the profit on them... And some will still remember Magi-Nation as the game that may had a few people here and there but over all didn't sell as much as Pokemon or Magic....Then Yugioh.... I personally think they should call it the Moonlands reinvent the wheel make the cards new on there Backs and borders mix up the art with old and new, even mix the sets, make smaller sets like other games so people have something to look forward too... And then after the game takes off again allow older cards to be used back into the game with card covers as long as there is already a similar game card already re-released... but thats just my 2cents, and sorry for everyone to here my ranting...Shutting up

Fosfur, there is absolutely no reason to change the art, the cards are already made. The old fans are waiting for the return, they will be there. They don't need to freshen it up. and a name change? no no no >< Magi-Naton was a cleaver name, a nation of Magi who use there imagination to summon creatures. They wont change, they arent making a new game, they are releasing the next sets.
"In addition, we expect that the CCG will be re-launched at the time the new series is aired domestically.
Company operations, Magi-Nation® Duel expansion releases and support are suspended until the Magi-Nation® animated series is released.
We will update this notice when additional information becomes available. We appreciate fan patience and support. "
just read it, they are releasing and re-releasing, but not changing...also this letter starts out with dear magi-nation fans, why would they be telling thier fans this if they are going to change a lot of things.
I see no reason why they would change, the show will peak intrest just cause and the name will become "household" and then people will go look for the same game we all discovered years before, with the text changes, thats all they need to change.

Ther is no reason to change the game, they wont change rules, the only thingfs that will possibly change is art for the older cards and fixing up the text. other than that it will all remain the same. Think about it and you will realize how ridiculuse that sounds

I've already commented on some good reasons why they should change the game and you stepped over them... there have been posts of employees of 2i, that have said what I've just said... But besides all that Logic would be my best defence here
You mean to tell me that after 5 years of nothing will just pick up where we left off? with TR then Second Order then Daybreak and then some expanion with Guardians? All the older sets are out of print and it will take lots of money to relaunch anything new or old, and how does the Company make money? Buy selling base set stuff to little tiny tim, and getting him hooked. Where does he get his cards....from a local vender, who spent 50-80 dollars on the booster set and is now reselling individual pack hoping to make a margin or 50-70 dollars. Who is also investing his money to see you and other like the game.... I could go on and on, Bottom Line the game as we know it is for Vet. of the game not beginners You place a TR set and say come play this game with me and you trash them with some Crushing card they've never seen before, and you tell them its was made years ago, most people would quick there and then. A reset of the game make a heck of alot more sense...Sorry for the ranting

WE SHOULD GET A POTISION AND ALL SING IT WITH OUR REAL NAMES AN MAKE IT STATE WE DONT WANT THEM TO CHANGE THE GAME AND I CAN GET IT TO HIM Potisions (misspelled sry) are nice but they don't make any money. And if the game is that (as we know as Vet's of it) they don't really need us. We're already ahead in the game anyways we know all the cards, we have all the memories of the old version of the game, how the game works. The Man knows that even if he releases a different version of the game, Vet's will still by it cause they've done it before... More ranting sry... shutting up

I'm a nice guys.... so lets just say they love the game as much as we do and they don't do a thing to change it. One Alternative we have is that they re-release the game slowly starting with the Base set again? (If they don't change a thing none of the old players will need to buy it, another reason for Change). Making all older sets illegal to play until there re-released as well.
