The Dark Prince Lucifer "Well, to begin with, my house could use a little more care. The North Library will be your first task to clean and dust." For the first time Cat made no objections or smart remarks. She opened the door and left. She had found a suit of armor and used the weapon to cut her bindings and collar. She could of attacked with her powers now and escape, but she needed more information on the place. "No sence trying to get away just to get caght again" Cat thought. So she decided to go to the library. It took her a while but she found it. The library had a layer of dust on each book, it nearly made her cry to see so many books left unattended. Cat knew it would take her at least a year to clean the place herself so she came up with an idea. Cat layed out a few bowls of water and pulled out the flute she had hidden from the guards. When she began to play a soft tune the water jumped up and took on the form of 20 men each holding a duster. She then commanded them to work. When the library was clean Cat pulled a book out about Vocal techniques and remedies for soar throuts. She brought the books to a large arm chair, lit a few candles, and waited to have anyother orders.

Malachai, unbeknownst to Cat, had followed her down a different hallway and watched from above the library, peering through a hidden grate in the ceiling. He was angered by what he saw.
When the water-forms finished cleaning and dissapeared again, the Master of the house entered the library, moving quickly and yet with a supple grace, the anger seeming to ripple from him. He came in a way which was unknown to most, and very well hidden.
Storming over to Cat, a fierce scowl on his face, he struck her hard in the face.

Cat did not look surprised, nor angry. She just put her hand to her mouth and gazed at the blood that had been left on it. Cat then said dully as she still looked at the blood "Do you normally punish people that do as there told???"

Cat stared at the crimson liquid on her fingers and thought "Blood...Blood got me in this mess..." Cat then looked at her master with pure hatred as she said furiously "No I don't understand! What does it matter if the job is done! I did the job better and in less time with magic, and if it wasn't for magic my wing probably wouldn't be moving right now!" Cat flapped her wing to prove her point. As the ice men were cleaning Cat took the time to heal her wounds. Cat then contuined without thinking, "Without magic I wouldn't be alive! WITHOUT MAGIC I WOULD STILL BE LOCKED IN A TOWER!!!"

He shook his head, no pity on his face for her. "Regardless, you were given a task to do. It was my understanding that you would know to do that task without any surreal help. That means no magic. From here on, that will be a rule in this house."

Cat didn't say anything. She just picked the books up, put them up, and went to find somewhere to wash her face. She was too angry to talk.
