Immortal-Nothing I tend to write stories more then poems, but *shrug* I write a few here and there, here's one I did a while back, still not sure what I think about it. Nobody That’s all I ever was All I ever am All I ever can be. Shadow That’s all I am All I’m good at being All people see me as. Uncaring That’s what I am It’s forced but true An empty smile to greet them all. Dark No happiness here No way to joy Feeling all alone Nothing That’s what people think of me Ash in the air Just to be ignored. Ignored That’s the word It describes me perfectly It’s what I am Just ignored in a sea of people. I like how you structured it. It's tone is consistent and the mood is so emo. (In the good way). It captures the feeling of being in high school or something similiar. Likes much!!

This one I wrote a while back, don't remember why but it won an editor's choice award. Unfortunately all that entailed was a certificate...no money. *laughs* -Free Will
I look into the still reflection In the deep blue water of the well My face stares silently back at me, then says "Just how deep are you willing to go?"
Fear rises up, though I've said I wanted this But curiosity and challenge override "As deep as I can" I reply, heart in mouth My face smiled back in contempt and said, "Then come!"
The reflection disappeared, and breathing hard I touched the face On the smooth, blue-black surface of the water My soul was flung through time and space Until I saw again a face My face, the one that had brought me here
"You want to see the truth?" it asked my with its empty eyes Then waved and said, "Here it is" and disappeared Images of small things in my life flashed before me Then it showed me just what those small decisions had caused
It was worse than the worst nightmare, horror and pain in every scene I screamed and said, "Please, please let this be a dream! My actions have caused good too, I know it!" "You're right," I smiled back at myself, reappearing "But never forget just what free will can truly be."

Sarishann Alina *grins* I have a lot of poetry and I love critiques, so if you have a comment of any sort it would be much appreciated! I think this is my best poem to date... Leave Me Be
Twilight surrounds me in soft lavender splendor I see your silhouette through the mist, You never should have followed me here, To this my home, which is by demons possessed
Leave me be You can't set me free Leave me be Why do you refuse to see? You need to Leave me be There is no prison key You can find to let me out of this hell
Why did you follow me here, why do you insist On being a white knight and making me your quest? Can't you see the sharp barren bones of earth Shrouded with darkness and fire If you don't leave, you too will rouse the demon's ire
Leave me be You can't set me free Leave me be Why do you refuse to see? You need to Leave me be There is no prison key You can find to let me out of this hell
But no words I say could ever change your mind Your goodness, bright still, through the darkness it shines Please listen to me though I know I've no right Flee the terrors that will come with the night!
Nothing can change the way I was made. Nothing can change the way I behaved. Nothing can change the way that I feel for you So run! Save yourself! And leave me be!
Leave me be, you can't set me free Let me go, already I'm dead you know Leave me be, you don't deserve to die with me You deserve life so let me fight and die alone You can't set me free, there is no prison key You can find to let me out of this hell...so Leave me be I like this poem very much. It's when a person finally accepts they'll always have their darksides no matter how bright the day

Her
Sometimes I can feel her, but she's not really there. Sometimes I can hear her, in the lyrics of a song.
Sometimes I talk to her, 'Tho she may not be listening. Sometimes I feel her breath, on my neck as a breeze passes.
Sometimes I feel her lips, when I kiss the water in the stream. Sometimes I reach for her, thinking of her in deep dream.
Sometimes when I awake, I look where she would lay. I pretend she left for work early, and I'll see her later that day.
Sometimes she whispers to me, words I can almost hear. Sometimes I wish to cry, I feel bad 'coz I know she misses me.
Sometimes I think to buy her, pretty little things. Things I know she would like, porceline dolls, ribbons and daisies.
Sometimes I can feel her love always comforting and warm. Her strength sets me free, so that I'd not want to leave.
Sometimes I think I can almost see her, Which is silly and odd, 'Coz I don't know what she looks like, and that's what makes me sad.
-And it goes out to the one wandering out of my life.

Issues with easter Jellybeans, strewn across the floor. The black ones are my favorites, the ones no one else wants. Marshmellow chickens, pastel oddities. Toasting above an open flame, bodys distort, they taste better that way. Some dead guy might be alive, or maybe the whole thing was made up. Does that make me a non-believer? I guess it does. Easter changes nothing. Creepy rabbits, and sugary treats. I still don't get it.

Quote: NiennaSayyadina Wrote: Free Spirit (17)
Is a soul eternity? Forever stuck in a mold. Hers is blackened coal. Charred, burned by flames Of other people’s hate. (Too late.) She is a Halloween pumpkin, Hollowed out And now she is empty.
Is the soul a snapshot? Hallowed, one moment set in stone, Picked randomly from a deck of cards? Pinnacle or pitfall?
She can decide now, Because fate can give her free will To set her spirit free.
This poem has been selected for 3 anthologies, yay. I'd love comments (don't be too harsh though, I may cry) I like this one very much. It makes me see the darkly beautiful side of sadness. She is so surrounded with it that it seems, strangely, to be the only comfort she has. I feel the despair in her feelings.
