[[The Fallen Sheep]]
My cat passed away suddenly as well. =[
My neighbor poisoned her though, we are suing though. =]
But, it is strange because she is our only cat and he came over yelling abou how our other cat scrached up his car.
lol.
I believe it is cerainly possible.

i've heard, that to do such to a feline, or housecat especially, is to invite freyas wrath.
i also read one way of summoning freya. and it kills alot of cats. supposedly blaack.

by freya mean the celtic goddess of felines or soemthing like that.

My kitty Magick passed away yesterday after a harsh disease he hid from me in his last living days. He always seemed to have human like emotions and senses like when he would comfort me when i'd cry and cuddle up at night to sleep. I was wondering if this connection we had could continue even if he is no longer living.

Also my friends mom sees gaurdian spirits but I don't want to go ask her if there is a possibility he is following me around before I know it is possible.

So sorry to hear your cat Magick passed away. As far as your question, yes I definately believe its possible. Every so often I can feel my cat walking around by my feet when I'm on the bed. I keep looking to see if I see indentations on the bed but its only that I feel them. He used to do that when he was alive. So I definately believe its possible. You might want to look into books on animal communication. You can learn animal communication while your pets are still alive and some maintain the contact even when pets are gone. Love is the strongest bond. Nothing can seperate you from it --not even death.

@LadyAnubis: Do you think there something holding her back from moving on?

@no-emotions: That's alright.

She isn't ALWAYS there. She showed up when we had a nasty spirit that was stalking us, and right after my dad had heel surgery and was in a lot of pain. She was his first dog, and thus is very close to him (he cried when she had to be put down). She was also around when I was born, and very protective of me. And I was the one who realized she was sick. Her stomach had flipped a few months prior, and she was on asprin. The asprin tore up her insides, and she started puking blood. My parents didn't realize it was her. I figured it out, and she had to be put down that night. I was asleep when my parents took her (I was in fourth grade at the time). I think there's probably some sense of gratitude there, because my parents were able to say goodbye and make her somewhat comfortable before she was taken to the vet, and it also shortened her suffering. She was our miracle dog. She was 13 when her stomach flipped, and they weren't sure if she would survive the surgery, let alone recover as quickly as she did. By the time we picked her up from the hospital, she was almost back to her old self. It took two months for the asprin to kill her, and she was taking it 2-3 times a day, I think

Sorry, I'm way off topic.

My kitty not only stayed indoors, it stayed in one room... my master bedroom because my mom's boyfriends would sadly enough rip it apart. I think it may have been the rat poisoned food epidemic but he only had the dry foods of those brands so I don't know if they were effected too.

Yes dry cat food was posioned too, it was baked in with the food. Sorry to hear your loss. Alot of that stuff has been on recall, i walked in wal-mart the other day and there was several shelves with nothing on them. All the food =gone that was affected.

As for the person who did it, I hope they hang them by their toes and when he dies that satan himself eats his soul

thank god we weren't affected by it, i would terribly miss my cat or dogs. espically since we just had a momma give birth to 4 beautiful puppies.

I think it is very possible.
My dog, Shyloh, had to be put down on Oct 4 because there was cancer in her mouth and she couldn't eat or drink. Even if they somehow removed it, it would be painful to her and the cancer would only spread to the rest of her body.
The point is, I can still feel her watching me sleep at night while laying snug beside my bed. When she was alive, we were like blood sisters(the ones that get along very well). We had a very strong bond, and we still do. My world seems very dim without her here, but I believe she still looks over me.
I was always fascinated with tarot cards and their power, but I didn't get very into it until the death of Shyloh. I believe she helps me use my cards and guide me through life.

I think if the person who did this is ever found, every pet owner in North America at least will join together for a large account of murder. Usually I am very anti-rebellions or war or anything but this guy deserves that!

You'd have a hard time pulling it off. Animals are generally not considered equal to humans in our society (or most societies.) He could be found guilty of damaging the cat food companies or cruelty to animals, but mass murder would not be among the charges. At least not in those words.

As for your cat becoming a guardian, it is not impossible. I don't know if I should call my cat Kiku a guardian, because I haven't seen her in a long time, but I did keep spotting calicos everywhere after her death. Under the dumpster, in a ditch behind the mall parking lot. I'm still not sure if it was her or just a bunch of other cats, but I certainly did not think there were so many kitties that looked like her on my island. I know calicos are very common, but after that episode all I can remember seeing since then are black cats and tabbies.

I had a dog, a black lab, we got her from a pet store. Like other people do.

She was hit by a car, but since we had a connection that was very deep- I knew even before I heard the commotion. When we were taking her to the e-vets, I could feel the pain.

When we went to put her down I said somthing which I never expected me to say. My mom wanted me to be with her when they injected her. I only said; "I said goodbye to my friend long ago."

I still don't know why I said it.

I've always attached myself to all animals, few have acted as actual guards. Not guardians. Even thought there is no reason for them to guard me. >> The nieghborhood cats basically worshipped me since I fed them, cleaned them and medicated them. They left me gifts everyday.

My dog only follows me around, everywhere, and since he only follows me I don't use leashes.

The donkeys and cows at the farm let me lay on their backs. >> Nature with Nature is pax.

We only just missed getting hit by it. Normally we buy the walmart brand dog treats, but last time we got them from Meijer or something because it was closer. And I almost bought one of the affected brands for my new cat, just a few days before the recall came out, but another brand was a few cents cheaper and I was broke. Somebody was watching out for my fluffy friends.

My dog might be put down very soon. I'm quite worried about everything like if I could have saved her or done anything.

All cats are like that, not just yours; my cats are like that too. And really, other animals are or can be just as how ours and others are. Cats are very spiritual animals, that doesn't make them spirit guides or gaurdians. That is one of the reasons why cats were worshiped by egyptians and others.

Spirit guides or gaurdians, whichever you prefer are sprirtual entities/ beings from the spirit world that have not lived on earth. Certain ones actually protect/ gaurd while others, have other different responsibilities either good or bad that they do which effects all of us. So you see, your cat, sorry for your lost has passed on but it cannot be a spirit that can gaurd/ protect because its purpose was an animal that befriended you and kept you company. The spirit guides/ gaurdians purpose is only that, but guides you and helps you and be friends but that is all.

Yes, they absolutely can manifest as spirits. Pets, especially cats and dogs, actually have more of a tendancy than human spirits to stay with their loved ones. Just because they still contact us does not mean they haven't passed on though, they can pass between this world and the next, so don't worry about that. He may just be staying to comfort you through his loss though, don't be surprised if his visits become less frequent over time.
