There's a thread to talk about all the song so that you don't have to make a thread for every song. After a while it could get redonkulous.

There actually was a post on the gorillaz LJ community where someone asked what people thought the song meant and got some great responses. I'll have to see if I can dig that up.

I love the song and he definlty has some meanings within it. The meaning I got was a story about God or a god punishing humans. It does sound like a mythlogical story. Something you hear back in the old days. Maybe it's based off a legend.

Man, I love that song, it is one of the few I make sure to listen to every time I play the CD (the other is Green World). That song doesn't need a video its that good.

Its personally one of my favorite songs. I love the meaning behind it, as well as the visual for the Manchester Concert.

Something you hear back in the old days. Maybe it's based off a legend. Actually, it's based off the stories of Hermann Hesse. He was a German author who wrote a book of philosophical fairy tales and fables (specifically, "The Fairy Tales of Hermann Hesse") I'm reading some of them right now. If you loved "Fire," you'll appreciate Hesse's writing.

The first time my mom played 'Demon Days' for me, and that song came on, I was immediately enthralled. I just listened to it over and over, before I looked at the other songs.
[EDIT] Whoa... creepy. Just as I hit 'enter', it came on!

That was the first song i ever heard by the gorillaz
Yes they do have a music video
Oh and I wrote a story and at the end these guys are fighting in Mt. Monkey and in the end it actually has the last part it goes like this And then came the sound distant first but grew under castostrophie so imense it could be heard far away in space, there were no screams there was no time the mountain called monkey had spoken it was on fire and then...nothing.
