A/S/L : 15/Female/U.S.
Drumming Experience : I must honestly admit, I am indeed quite new to this field of music. Always having been a blood flutist, it got awfully boring being RIGHT there in the director's spitting range. stare So alas, after six years of envy, I finally took up a summer camp devoted to music stuff. So from what I've heard, the program is worth about a school year's worth of music teachings. Level two percussionest. XD I've been reading everyone else's and it's all complex about how they're in a band or stuff. And I'm just totally still at the stage where playing Mary Had A Little Lamb on the bells is death. whee I plan to join the percussion group at my high school this coming fall, as well as band to do pit percussion.
Equipment : Erm. -bashfull/ness- I don't have much. Just a simple practice pad and the usual Vic Firth sticks. Alas, I do plan to get a marimba or other mallet instrument rather soon. -nods-
Other : Hmm. What is there to know about me. I am "fluent" at the guitar, clarinet, violin and trumpet. From what I've heard, I'm "advanced" at the flute/piccolo, piano and alto-saxophone. But, who really cares, eh? Oh, yesh. Probably the most important thing about me : I'm moving to Canada ASAP! heart

A/S/L - 15/F/England
Experiance - I've been playing for just over a year. I mostly play the kit but have also dabbled with Timpani. Not currently in a band (but that's just because the guys I used to play with didnt really give a damn about it) I still have a lot to learn about drums, but learning's the fun part right? xp
My Drums - I have a crappy Performance Percussion kit at home and I use a Pearl kit at school for lessons and some practice
Other - Erm, I love music, my favourite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Duran Duran (as well as maaany more) and my favourite drummers are Dom Howard (of Muse) Jose Pasillas (of Incubus) and Chad Smith (of RHCP) as well as the obvious choice of John Bonham xd

25/F/Washington Drum experience- I've been drumming for 3 years now. I'm in a Brazilian drumming group that performs around town. I've been tapping out my own rhythms ever since I can remember, but when I tried out for 5th grade band, the teacher said I was only OK at the drums. (well duh, I'd never played with sticks before). When I joined my current band, I knew that I'd been missing out on a major talent of mine. I intend to learn the drumset next.
My drums- Authentic Brazilian drums shipped from Brazil! I started on surdo (the big base drum), and have since learned all three surdo parts, the agogo (2-tone bell), the chocalho (a big rack of jingles), the shekere (a gourd with beads around it), the alfaia (a more african type base drum), the caixa (snare drum), and the pandiero (a tamborine-like instrument).
Other stuff- I'm also into hiking, gardening, cooking, and health.

18/m/washington (in a hicktown one of a million)
Ive been playing for 9 1/2 years. Im in two bands (i would link but i feel dirty if i shamelessly self promote, will tell/show you if you ask. I play in my highschools marching band, pep band, Wind Ensemble and jazz band. I am the drum section leader in all of them.
My set is a completely restored 1960's ludwig with super snare. I put over 100 hours of work into it and it sounds good and is beautiful. My dad has been drumming for 40 years and he says its the bests set he has ever heard. *bragging warning (becides pervious bragging)*it has been valued at around $15000, we paid $100 for it.
other intrests include but not limited to; wrestling, computers, cinematography, films/movies

I'm trying to start a band with a few of my freinds, but so far we still need a name...a singer...and LOTS more practice hehehe My set is a pdp 5 peice with upgraded Sabian B8 cymbols and Evans heads. 22" bass 14"snare 12" 13" and 16" toms 14" hats 14" crash 20" ride 10" splash still have the same stands, pedal and throne that came with the set, but I'm working on getting a new pedal and a new stand for both my hats and my ride. surprised

Nicole- 16/F/MN I have played percussion for over 2 years. I marched quints this last summer, and snare the summer before that. I play mallets in the winter. I did marimba last year, and I don't know what I'll be on this winter yet. The drums/keyboards are whatever my school owns (yamaha's) and the heads are whatever the instructor of the week feels like putting on them. they have their favorites, and we have plenty of instructors recently. I don't play drumset though I want to learn twisted Power to chick drummers!! Other: um... not a whole lot else... To be honest, I drum too much to have much time for anything else. though I also play bassoon and clarinet and am in the process of learning trombone.

Well...my drum experience is very little. I've just started in my local school advance band. How am I a beginner in an advance band? To make a long story short, my teacher didn't want to lose me as an advance band member as my last year of middle school, and decided on letting me stay in advance band. I'm not the worst, but not the best. I also play in the jazz band, but unfortunately I'm just there to help the band practice and will not play at performances. I hope I can learn a lot from this guild. =] Thank you.
