Karen was slightly inside the cottage now. She looked at the corpse slightly. " What are you doing here?" She asked in a questioned voice.

"Well I'm like a guardian of this old shack and area....I've been dead for fifty years....but your presence and the little feline is welcome here miss Karen." He knew almost everyone here...

Karen had shock in her eyes. She looked away from the man, and then out the window. Minty looked at the man in confusion. " How do you know my name?" Karen asked quietly.

Karen stepped back slightly, and then set her gaze onto the corpse. " Why would you bring her up?" Karen felt a lot of angry now within her.

"Because the dead speak and she used to come here a lot to get away from everything" The corpse grabbed some books and set them down on the table in front of Karen, "It has a lot of recipes and medical journal entries. There are several other books her by her, your father, Al, and Damian.....some even by you."

Karen looked at the corpse again. She felt a little sad now. She then looked down at the books on the table. She saw a few medical books there and some cooking books there as well. " Books from my family? Where?" Karen said quietly.

He opened them and pointed out the Authors, it was of Damian's and Al's parent's names and then there was another name of her mother's, "See...."

Karen looked at the books again. Now seeing the author names and looking away.
Minty jumped up onto the table and looked at the books. She then jumped off the table and looked around the room.

An old gray cat with white stripes roamed the cabin and laid at the old ghost's feet. The old host then began speaking again, "This place is usual a place that allows you to revisit old memories, but now that all these records are here, it is a place of history and wonder."

Karen nodded as she slid a hand on the cover of a book. She felt how old it was with just that small slide of the hand. She wiped some dust off of the book and looked at it for a moment.

The old ghost moved around and walked towards some other books, "Should I leave you to read alone Mistress Karen?" He said with a more subservient tone.

Karen still looked at the books. "Nah, you can stay. If you wish too." Karen said as she smiled to the old ghost.

He went over to Minty and petted Minty, he was more of a poltergeist though than anything. He picked Minty up and set Minty on the table. He brought the kitty some cat food.

Karen still looked over the books.
Minty meowed softly as she was picked up. She was than sat on the table. Some food was brought to her and she meowed kindly. She looked at the food for a moment and than began to eat slowly.
