Personality: Soft spoken for the most part, he prefers to fade into the background. A bit withdrawn, he can seem a bit cold and distant to others, but this is not felt as cruelty. He just can be a bit quiet and anti social at times. However, he is truly kind to those who manage to get close to him, and will never back down if his friends are in trouble. He focuses mainly on stealth strategy, preferring to face his enemy from the shadows than to face off against them head-on.

He seems to have a disregard for his own safety at times, not seemingly caring if he is injured, especially if it means protecting another. This is due to a slight problem he has in thinking that everyone around him is truly more worthy than him to survive. He never seems to admit this aloud, but his actions speak quite clearly at times.

He's good at strategy in the heat of battle, and can see things from the big picture often, doing something or attacking someone that most people wouldn't think of, oftentimes saving them from a future blow.

His attacks mainly use ice techniques, including the ability to make the air around him lower to sub-zero temperatures. This can happen unconsciously if he feels threatened (physically or emotionally).

~Yuki Wakizashi- (Snow Blade) Basically an ice blade, his main close-range ability. Concentrated chakra freezes the air around his hand, creating a solid sword used both for offense and defense (can extend the field of the sword to form a shield which is relatively strong, but saps even more strength from him, so he only uses the shield momentarily to block an attack). The direct contact of the ice on his skin saps his strength, so he uses this for short bursts of time, disbanding the chakra binds on the ice when he needs to rest.
~Kori Hanami- (Ice Flower Viewing) His preferred long range attack. Freezing the air around him solid, he then shatters the mass with a burst of chakra, sending the blade-sharp ice shards flying, controlled continuously by his chakra. This can be used for offense as well as defense (somewhat like Gaara's control of sand, I guess, but more similar in style to Byakuya's zanpakutō, Senbonzakura, if you've ever seen Bleach, this is highly inspired by that XD).The glistening ice looks somewhat like falling sakura, hence the name of the jutsu.
~Shiro Hara-Kiri- (White Ritual Suicide) A devastating attack in which Sylam vanishes from view for a split second. He then reappears directly in front of his opponent, back facing their front. Concentrating his chakra, he then sends a devastating volley of ice spears through his own body and into his opponent's, creating a cage of them before they dart inward, skewering anything in their path. Understandably this has an immense amount of damage done to Sylam as well, and he's pretty much out of commission after using this. A last-resort attack when no other options are available to him.

Name: Culex Xeluc/Nara

Biography: Culex's famiily died when he was very young. Luckily, his family was great friends with those of the Nara and they felt they had to take him in. The Nara took him in, however, were not quite fond of him. While he did learn the Nara Clan's signature moves, they weren't to pleased with him. This was mostly due to the fact that, while he had been a quick learner of the Nara moves, they could not take his feats as part of their own clan, due to Culex's "Xeluc" heritage. Thus, he grew in isolation, praticing mostly on his own. Through most of his academy years, he had enjoyed solitary training. Many would detest him, while the older students would bug him. He would run and hide within the darkness.

Perhaps it was because of his seemingly natural affinity to the shadows, but he grew comfort within the shadows. Whether it be the shadow of a building, the shadow of a large, or even the shadow of a building, he felt safe, and granted him a bit safety feeling. Halfway during his academy years, he met a person who would change his life completely. It had started with a knock on the door, and a shabby figure came in. He seemed to be wearing a dark shirt, with black pants. He seemed to be rather scruffy, and the Nara seemed to dislike him, but they let him. As Culex would soon learn, the man was once a Nara. However, for some reason, he had seemed to leave the clan to devote himself to more "pure" learning. The man spoke of philosophical concepts which interested Culex, and the fact that he was disliked by the Nara as well as also intrigued him.

The Nara had no interested in his words, but they allowed him to stay, due to the bloodline and all. Culex approached him and the man accepted him, and introduced himself as Kagu. The two talked, and soon, Kagu had become Culex's mentor. As they talked more, Culex discovered Kagu had the same love of the shadows as he did, however, Kagu saw the shadows as more than the just a safe place to hide. He taught Culex how to delve into his own true nature: Shadows. He showed Culex a new innovative way of thinking, a way that Kagu had titled: Shadow Zen. The concept of practice and experimental wisdom appealed to Culex. The ideas seem to flourish as his innovation was praised by Kagu. Kagu himself had come up with very interesting techniques, by trying various approaches. Having his thoughts and ideas praised encouraged him to try more ideas. Kagu too was big fan of illusions. He threw a twist in Culex's training, and taught him how to be good of illusions. He still kept the main focus on Culex's choice and Culex appreciated it and took the illusion lessons as well. The lessons continued until Culex graduated. His attitude seemed to be better from Kagu's influence. He still was less than willing to speak with several people, but would talk here and there. Upon his graduation, he was put in a team with Rinoa Uchiha and another member. He was displeased a bit, as it would take time from his time with Kagu. Regardless, he developed bonds with his teammate. He still, however, spend less time with his team and more with Kagu. Kagu, however, noticing that Culex would soon leave him, he had an extra long lesson. In this time, he talked with him, as comrades rather than teacher and student. That day, he gave him the contract to a special summoning. He called it the "Shadow Zen Beast Summoning". He never quite described it as more than "the beast of purity."After that meeting, they seemed to grow a bit farther away the once-close bond they shared slowly withered away, as he was forced to spend more time with the team. It continued this way until Kage left once more, leaving only one book for him to read: The Shadow Within - Shadow Zen. Written by Kagu.

Special Jutsus:

Kyu no Kage Sounote (Coffin of the Shadow Hands): This technique allows a user to summon a large coffin from the ground, that have either a blue,red, or green marking. Depending on each marking, the inside of the Coffin is different. In the red, there's spikes in the side. In the green, there's nothing in it, but the Coffin is completely sealed, shutting all air, and it submerges underground. The blue contains certain amount of C.A.D. (Chakra Absoring Device) that will suck the chakra of anyone captured in the conident. All three Coffins contain two very large Shadow Hands that extend from the Coffin to snatch their victim. In the palm of both hands, they have the symbol of what looks like an eye.

Shadow Bombing: It is a concept that is based on empowering a certain part of the tendrils that rise from the Kage Nui(Shadow Sewing), to the point where they "overload" on chakra, causing an explosion. The explosion can be devastating, depending on what it hits.

Shadow Zen Beast Summoning: It is a contract to the summon the "Shadow Zen Beast". It is actually a Shadow Wolf (based on chakra),that, along with normal wolf senses, can track down shadows casted by objects, living or non. The wolf can also a variety of shadow techniques(exception being Shadow Bind), but with a twist: The wolf itself has no shadow, but rather he is his own shadow. He can also use the shadow of other objects as if it were his shadow for most Shadow-based jutsus (all except the Shadow Bind Technique). The beast also has poisoned fangs. The poison is a neurotoxin that makes the body respond to it by forcing all of it's chakra (not counting life chakra) into the body's shadow. Due to so much chakra, the shadow manages to appear even in places where regular shadows wouldn't. If the user has too much chakra, the shadow could also explode through the concept of Shadow Bombing.
