I agree on the Ouji boards. Of course it's important to know the truth verses fantasy and when you believe/worship something other then our God, that's when it's wrong.
So, I have a question about Tarot cards. My mother doesn't like them, so I don't use them, but my sister learned how to read them. She says she just likes playing with them and doesn't actually believe what they say. So, is it all right that she plays around with Tarot, as long as it's just for fun and she believes that the future can't be predicted by a set of cards, or is it still wrong?

Well, in theory that should be fine. The problem is, if some of the readings come true, it might cause doubt in God. Something to be wary of, and decide if it is worth the risk.

Yeah the same could be said of those magic 8 balls, they're created for fun, but it's still something to be wary of...

Well if you play tarot cards enough one of the readings is bound to come true, thats coincedence, and as long as you know that it should be fine 3nodding Like the magic 8 ball. If you don't take it seriously it shouldn't pose a problem.

I have both a magic 8 ball and tarot cards. I don't believe in either of them I just like to look at the pictures on the cards and I have the 8 ball for decoration.

I play D&D and IO am writing a D&D world that points to Christ - it is a long way from being done (spends too much time on Gaia burning_eyes ) but I beleive these things (comics, rpg, manga, etc) are just mediums that we can use to convey a message - and it is up to you how you react to that message - or don't react

I see no problem with most things like that. I play D&D occasionally myself... and I watch tons of Anime and read Fantasy novels all the time. As long as you don't start believing that stuff is the truth, there's no problem with it.
As for tarot cards and eight balls, as long as you don't follow what they predict religiously, I don't see a problem with it. (Though I'll admit, I did a really stupid thing once and flipped a coin to see whether or not I should commit suicide... and I think God made it land on heads--which was not to.) As far as things coming true, a lot of times they're vague enough that at least some of the predictions will become true. Beware of self-fulfilling prophesies too!
I do believe that Ouija boards are evil though... sweatdrop because there's nothing you can do with them, other than try to contact spirits. *shudders* I can say from experience, that it's not a good idea to mess with that kind of thing. Whether it works or not, it stains your mind. It feels wrong. There's nothing good that can come of it. Even some Wiccans I know say it's not a good idea to mess with that kind of thing. It's just not safe.

As long as you don't take it any farther than entertainment, then I think you're fine. Harry Potter (I'm a big fan) and other fantasy books, games, etc. I think are ok, as long as you don't actually believe in them and take them any deeper than entertainment. Tarrot cards and Ouji boards have the intention of telling the future and contacting spirits, which the Bible says we should not do. Magic 8 balls I think are harmless toys.

Does all anime bring demons?
Because I my mom just told me that all oriental things are evil
She was talking to a sister (not blood/family related) said that all things that all things oriental are evil and bring evil demons. Pretty much why I can't sleep at night...or something. I have been sleeping well, just having weird dreams. I rarely even dream at all.
I have a lot of manga and 4 harry potter books.
And she said I have to throw all away because I'm going to be baptized soon.
Of course I believe in God and he is first in my life, but of course I won't never want to disappoint him.
My mom says that they open doors to evil demons in my body.
I really don't want to throw away my stuff.
Do all oriental things bring demons? I don't need a opinion. I need a fact.

Although I am not in this guild, I have something to say: What you're mom is trying to do is remove the temptation and therefore the sin from ever happening. BUT! It is necessary to realize that the content of the books are what really matter. When you find yourself so entrance by the fantasy world that you begin to wish it were true, when you even begin to dream about a world like it, it begins to infiltrate your mind and spirit. It slowly corrodes until you look back and have to ask yourself, "How in the world did I get here?" Just be careful with what you read. You may not be as strong in the spirit as you think.

no ones posted here in a long time but i feel that all of the whole anime-magic-thingies are ok! As long as God is who you serve and him alone nothing like anime-magic-thingies will seperate you from him. (as long as God is your main focus)
