I would give up my life for christ in a second if it came down to it. but i also do not value my life that much. the thought of death does not bother me so it's not a dificult choice for me to make.

i knwo many more are going to come in and say "of course" but i urge them to realy search their hearts before answering.

You should value yourself more. 3nodding Your body is a Temple of Christ, and He's want you to take care of yourself.

If someone wanted to kill me for being a follower of Christ, then I would let it happen. I wouldn't deny who I am, and who I love. We need to take care of ourselves, but how would we show our love by denying him? So yes, I would gladly die for Christ.

I said that i don't value my life. i do in fact value my self. there is a differance. if i were to get hit by a bus to morow and die in the ambulance on the way to the hospital i would die without a regret or a worry. see most people fear death. i don't. i know it is going to happen and the when and how don't worryme all that much. today, tomorow, fifty-a hundred years, it's all the same to me in the end.

What does it take to be more like you? I fear death, mostly because I don't know where I'll end up. But if that case actually came up, I'm not exactly sure what I'd do...

It took me the loss of the two people in my sig and a personal conversation between me and God to not fear death. i learned through two funerals for children that death is indiscriminant and thus could happen at any time. for a while it scared me even more i honestly though i was going to be the next christian goth in town to die. but God told me something important. He told me that my soul belonged to Him and so i should not worry about death. i'll go home when my time comes. and honestly i'm kind of hoping for it in a way. i have people to see.

I am very afraid to die. I used to be very unafraid. I was ready to die at any moment, I was also terribly depressed and saw death as a relief.

but now I very much cherish the life I have. I have come to understand that it only happens once. when I die I will have eternity with God so I am in no rush. this time is limited so I intend to make the most out of it. after all JC suffered just so I could live this life.

I know God will take me when He wants me, and I trust He will not take me without readying me for it.

I once heard a story told from a mother who lost her two sons in a car accident. She mentioned that earlier in the day her elder son(17 y/o) talked to her about how happy and contented he was with life. She said that in grieving, remembering that conversation comforted her because she got the sense that he left when he was happy with life.

Actually...there is no blunt difference. If there is something you don't value- which you STATED your life, which is YOU, as in YOURSELF AKA YOUR BODY, so it's the same thing, then it's not good.

God said to enjoy life. By saying you don't value life, you don't value the gift God gave you.

Now, if you said you have no regrets in life and have no fear in dying because you lived fully, THAT is a difference.

Take a pointer from flineagle, Lazarus .

You aren't the only one who has witnessed death and dying. We all have. And heaven knows a lot of people have suffered much more.

How can you say there's a difference between various 'i hate my life's' when you look at the example of the concentration camps and other genocides. People fought for the gift God gave them: life.

We all look forward to seeing those we lost, but you have to trust in God's word a LOT more. You should also listen to what He said about ETERNAL life in Heaven when it's time. Instead of hoping to leave this world, look at the beauty and LIFE God put in this world.

So whether you feel you want to leave this world already, that shouldn't be something you urge. Take some time and see what God intended with you. Your life = yourself. Take time to actually think that through.

I think we should be less tragic and more hopeful. If you think I don't know where I'm coming from, you're wrong. I know about death. And if it comes I won't regret it- but I thank God everyday for letting me spend time in the world he made for ME, and for all of US.

And so I learned to value my life, because it's me. It's one and the same, tied down to who I am. And that ain't no contradictory statement.

Be happy. And if you actually intended to say that you're happy with your life, just say it. We can't know what you're thinking, so try to be a little less fiesty, and a little more gentle and expressive.

In my opinion, you should do whatever Jesus would do, if you were truely one of his followers. He was the only perfect human to ever walk the Earth, and I think everyone should do they're best to follow his example as best they possibly can, no matter the consiquence upon themselves. Jesus died to save us from ourselves, but also because he did not back down from what he believed in.
