when i was in highschool, there was a very select few who hadn't lost their virginity, like myself. other school districts around had to have daycares placed in or close to the schools because many of their female students have gotten pregnet and in order to keep them from dropping out they offered at home tutoring for free while they were pregnet and when the child was born they would help take care of it while they were at school.

my school didn't get that bad.

i'm in my 2nd year of college and i'm still part of that small group who are virgins. and i have no shame with it. though, now most of my friends have had sex, and a couple of them have kids now. whee xd sweatdrop

it's certainly a weird feeling when you are not in highschool anymore (i'm in my 3rd year of college, but i've been out of highschool for 4 years now) and you start noticing some of your friends suddenly "build up" (the correct term would be "throw the ingredients into the pot and mix 'em together carelessly") a family...

it will be weirder when i get to go to one of my friend's wedding (this has never happened yet)... that is if I don't get married first (which I doubt xd )

you shouldn't feel shame if you haven't lost your virginity. it's your choice, and no one should make you feel guilty/funny/oout of place/etc because of it

@technical_difficulties - i've been to more weddings then my sister, and my sister is 4 years older then me and has been out of college a lot longer then i have.

it seems like the "in" thing to do now, get married while you're still in college. my best friend wants to get married now, she's only 18. i have nothing against it. BUT, i'm trying to convince her to at least wait untill she has a stable job and out of college.

@MegaTherion777 - 3nodding i say it with much pride.

when I get married (if I do) I'll do it with lots of planning and money to back it up. I won't get married jobless, living with my mom and without much savings (to support a family that is).

Marriage is not a joke nor an "experience" to me, to fool around and experience things you can just move in with your partner to some apartment or have sex here and there... marriage should still be an institution and not the watered down thing we think it is now a days.

I'm not trying to be moralistic or anything, but why marry if you can enjoy a person as much without engaging to do something you probably never will (talking here about the love vows).

I don't consider myself a moralistic man, on contraire, I'm just a romantic... but marriage at this age seems to me like a total waste of time/life/experience/money/love.

And life WILL catch up with those who think they can jump around it, be it tomorrow, three years from now or when they have to finally retire from their professional lifes (if they reach any).

That's what I would call post-retirement depression, it's a sign that you grew up in a pathological way and feel nothing but guilt and regret for not living your life at the fullest.

Life isn't stupid.

And I prefer not to try and ******** it, but make love to it and enjoy as best as I can wink

I get to be an auuuntie. biggrin

I'm still a virgin and quite proud and I won't lose my virginity until I feel I'm ready for it and am in love with the person.. be it a few months or years from now. I want my first time to be atleast somewhat special.

Most schools here have daycares. D:

I do wonder why I take so long to read all topics... specially since I'm a mod. >_>

I lost my virginity "late", in conception of some guys in my school, that bragged they visited hookers for their first time.... this is what I regard useless and moronic... I told myself I'd never pay for sex >_> never did and never will

Being a teenager is a hard as ******** experience, and sometimes peer pressure will make you do stupid things, at leas that's what happens to my brother's friends who think that the more sex you have, the better person you will be(including my brother)... As for me, I lost my virginity by hiring a hooker, because of peer pressure(from my uncles), I feel ashamed for having given up to it, but I've learned to live with it, and I still got a place for love in my bean-eating heart if I should ever find it. :p

technical_difficulties
it will be weirder when i get to go to one of my friend's wedding (this has never happened yet)... that is if I don't get married first (which I doubt xd )

3 of my cousins got married before even finishing high-school, but that was by their(and the girl's) own will, another 2 of them(one girl and another a boy) got married because they were going to get babies... and a friend of mine got married in January because he got his girl pregnant... it makes me sad that they are not careful with what they do, and I fear for their sons, for they might grow up in a not so stable home. confused

Agreed. My friends whine to me about how I never do anything to get 'da chix', and when they ask me if I'm gay or what, I always wink to them and they stop it at least for that day. :p

If you live in the USA, you can't be a virgin! D<

All that been said, what I've got to add is that I do not pass any judgement on people who have sex in a responsible manner, by knowing, who, how and when they will have sex. After all, sex is a healthy activity and many people find a divine sensation in it, so it shouldn't matter if they have it, as long as they are being responsible about it. Also, sex is another beautiful thing couples can share, and having a knowledge and/or experience would make it better for each other, this is why I wouldn't mind if my couple or I had had sex before us having it together(before our relationship of course)...

And really, I admire you all, you really seem to know what and how you want things, you're the kind of people that make me feel not alone. smile
